rather strange thing to happen both th one day and test captain quit.I think it means Kevin pietersen will defiantly be England captain now.

Yes, it will probably be Pietersen as the selectors want the same captain for both teams. With that in mind, it was sensible for Collingwood to quit too as he's suspended for the first 3 ODI's against South Africa.
Vaughan's been a great captain for England but it was probably time for him to go. He's not playing well enough to warrant a place in the team and against the top teams, there's no room for passengers.
I'm not sure Pietersen is the right man but only time will tell. Some were suggesting Robert Key was a candidate, which sounds pretty good, given he's done well captaining Kent and probably deserves a test recall but if it's going to be the same captain for both teams it's highly unlikely it'll be him.

Kevin Pietersen has been named as captain of the test and ODI teams.
Ravi Bopara is in the squad for the 4th test in place of Michael Vaughan.

Not sure about this at all, will probably put too much pressure on him, and his batting will suffer.
