She was dark when she was much younger, then in the 90s she was really pale. Now she's kind of in-the-middle. Does she have the same problem as Michael, or what? Does anyone know because I have no idea. Thanks.

I've been wondering this myself as well. My theory is that she used to wear tons of white make-up during the early 90s to make herself look so very, very pale. But having said that, these studio pictures on her site confuse me because she looks pale again and looks like Michael on them: I don't know what to think. Sometimes she looks Asian now. She certainly looks more beautiful now than she did in the 90s IMO. I can't believe she's 48.

I have no idea, but if you look at the 1984 home video with Michael and LaToya, you'll see that Toy started going "white" before Michael did.

Wow, I've been looking at old pictures and she's always looked ligher than the rest of the family. This picture is very early: Makes me wonder if Joe is really her father.

I remember LaToya saying she was always the lightest skinned of all her siblings.. I'm guessing that some of that paleness in the late 80s was due to that image makeover by her "management"... Not to mention that makeup choices for darker skin were quite limited in the early 80s compared to today, so she probably ended using lighter makeup because that was closer to her skin tone than what was available for darker skin..

She doesn't look 48 at all. I like how her skin looks now, very light skin yet not all that light.

You're right, Shellshock, she does look kind of Asian. And yes, she's definitely much lighter than her brothers and sisters. It's odd. But she is beautiful.

I think her trademark press-on nails probably make her hands look longer too.. I swear: Ghetto nails were inspired by LaToya.. She was always on the cutting-edge, our Toy... And I'm sure her lady friends don't mind them nails either
