This is always fun to bump in May. It's time to say who you think will win what, who will go up, who will go down and who won't do much at all. Predictions for the entire table are always welcome. The Premier League looks wide open this season (wide open = there are more than 2 teams that could win it):
1. Chelsea - Although they have a new manager, there seems to be more stability than the other contenders 2. Liverpool - This could be their best chance yet but Benitez handle the pressure? 3. Man Utd - They always find a way to be in the mix but Valencia and Owen for Ronaldo doesn't sound like a title-winning bit of business 4. Man City - Reminiscent of Chelsea a few years ago. If they sign a defence they could be even higher. 5. Arsenal - It's always interesting to see Wenger turn unknowns into stars but it's not winning them any trophies... 6. Aston Villa - The football gods made them pay for the UEFA Cup shambles. Now they've lost Barry and gained a winger who might not play before Christmas. Despite that, they still might be the best of the rest. 7. Tottenham - If they get Huntelaar and offload Bent, they could be top 6. 8. Everton - Moyes has worked miracles in recent years but he might need another to qualify for Europe again. 9. West Ham - Could do well if they stay injury-free but that's a huge "if". 10. Sunderland - A good manager and new investment should see them push into the top half. 11. Fulham - Hodgson's doing a great job but it's hard to see them topping last season. 12. Blackburn - They should be comfortable under Fat Sam but it won't be pretty. 13. Bolton - I can't think of anything interesting to say about them. 14. Wolves - Have some very talented young players. Could be the season's surprise package. 15. Wigan - Could be a tough season without Steve Bruce. 16. Birmingham - Have been yo-yoing for a few years but I think there are enough weaker teams for them to survive. 17. Stoke - Did a great job of staying up last season, even if there wasn't much football involved. Their fans and home form could make the difference this season. 18. Portsmouth - Barring a flood of money in January and possibly a change of manager, they're in trouble. 19. Hull - Were lucky to survive last season. Second season syndrome should kick in. 20. Burnley - Will battle and fight but they'll be up against it.

With current "squads", I think your putting Arsenal behind Spurs and ahead of Citeh is ludicrous, although we look like being a lot closer this season.

for me it all depends on how well city gell and if arsenal actually buy someone that can play football now rather than in 5 year

With current "squads", I think your putting Arsenal behind Spurs and ahead of Citeh is ludicrous, although we look like being a lot closer this season. If you sign a defensive midfielder I think you'll be fine. Arsenal are my dark horse for the title actually, no one has any faith in them and so many reckon City will overtake them for fourth, but Wenger knows what he's doing and you do have some fantastic players who unlike City, Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool are playing under no expectations to actually do anything. Eduardo to be in the leagues top 3 scorers, Vermaelen to be a revelation at the back and a relatively injruy free season!

CHAMPIONSHIP 1. Newcastle (obviously predicted under the assumption Ashley had a high enough IQ to see through the sale of a football club) and someone else has a low enough IQ yet enough money to buy it. That is hard to find.. Even speaking as a Boro fan, Newcastle could be a great and hugely successful club in the right hands. 50,000+ fans who'd turn up just to watch Shearer wiping his arse... Most Premier League clubs would love to have that kind of support. The big problem is the club has been run by complete morons for decades. (that includes John Hall, even though they almost won the league when he was chairman)
