Three choices. Each with their own positives and negatives. Who do you think should be England's goalkeeper?

The only negatives for Joe Hart are distribution and an occasional reluctance to come out for a cross. Given that nobody can distribute this new ball with any accuracy, those are no longer negatives.

Joe Hart for me. I do feel bad for Green though.

Green without a doubt. He'll have everything to prove now and to drop him would completely undermine Capello.

I think with so much to prove Green could 'over-play' it because he has so much to make up for. He probably still isn't over the blunder he made.

Green shouldn't have been chosen ahead of Hart in the first place. I fail to see the logic in picking a goalkeeper who, statistically, was 50% worse last season than Hart. With a more expensive defence in front of him, including a centre-half who was ostensibly so much better than those in front of Hart that he got into the England squad ahead of them.

I think he should play Joe Hart, but than again David James would be a safe bet. I just find if he plays Green again, fans might think "oh its him again"

to be honest James and Green are both dodgy!
Joe Hart has shown he can be pretty damn good I remember against Chelsea back in mid season, he was immense!!
I would definitely go for Hart

Green still dropping him now would be so destructive for him .

robert green, for the same arguments voiced above.
it was a freak mistake that could have happened to any of the three. if green is going to be punished for that, better to just send him home now. besides, on the evidence so far, algeria aren't going to pose much of a problem for england so there will be no better opportunity for green to 'redeem' himself.

And how about Joe Hart? England's future goalkeeper? Green makes the kind of clanger that a schoolboy would be embarrassed about and is still preferred to him? What does that do to Hart's confidence?

In which case you drop Green. Don't want a psychologically fragile goalkeeper.

Joe Hart for other reasons, Rob Green and James have been played in big matches before, but also it will increase the competition for the place. We want to see competition for every place, so some random team sheet drops can be a good thing.

i find it hillarious. decades ago it was scottish keepers that were the butt of the joke now the scots have 2 or 3 keepers that would be 1st choice.
craig gordon Alan Mcgregor david marshal
out of the 3 england keepers i think david james

I would stick with Green as well, he did redeem himself somewhat with that save in the second half.
Also its better to have some consistency in the team, if James or Hart plays in the next match, what will this say to the confidence of the players if someone else say does a mistake and the other team slips a goal in?

I'd go for Hart but in the circumstances it would better to keep Green for the next match as England simply cannot afford to lose it and it woule be better to keep the team consistent.
