It's been announced Channel 4 has won the rights to broadcast the 2011 and 2013 World Athletics Championships, after almost 30 years on the BBC.
Channel 4 will broadcast more than 50 hours of coverage of the 2011 championships, including all evening sessions.
The deal is part of C4's growing sports coverage with the channel already having acquired the rights to show the 2012 Paralympics. It also recently started showing live NFL for the first time in over a decade.

It can have it, something so boring isn't worth being paid for by taxpayers.

It will be good for viewers in Northern Ireland.
We only have the free digital and the BBC didn't show the Friday night session at the recent Europeans even on the red button to show local football.
Maybe they'll co-opt Michael Johnson - I like that he speaks out with what he honestly thinks instead of trying to make excuses when a Brirish athlete fails.
