Which of these songs in the year 1969 in your view should not have been #1, I am doing polls for the whole Sixties this time, once we have 10 winners (we have to split up some years there is not enough options on a poll to match the #1's in a year plus joint winners) we will have a last poll to decide which song out of the years 1960-1969 should not have been #1.
These are 3 day polls this time.
Happy Voting

There is not really a bad #1 on this list. So voted for the one track that has irritated the hell out of me since I was born.

The one I voted for is my clear least favourite but I fear it won't win because everyone will go for the more obvious Aussie artist.

Don't particularly dislike any of these, so yes I'm probably one of the lazy ones who have gone for the Aussie.........but the Splodgenessabounds version is so much better ;D

It would be funny if the same song won both 1968 and 1969.

First song apart, every number one hit is a bona fide classic...gives the lie to people who say the charts have always been full of rubbish. Indeed every year from about 1961 to 1983 the majority of number ones were excellent.

There is one I particularly dislike in this year and appears 6th on the list above.

yes but Lily The Pink shouldn't have been in this poll, only in 1968.
I voted for Peter Sarstedt, one of the most nauseating #1s ever, at least until the modern era, and far worse than g'dall Rolf.

I voted for a Beatles SONG...then again, there was little, if any, Lennon in it.
