"Charlie Brooker, the writer of E4's Dead Set, returns with a suspenseful, satirical three-part mini-series that taps into collective unease about our modern world" Anyone watch this last night? I did, it was pretty good, quite humourous in parts but really awful in parts. I think this was brilliantly written by Charlie Brooker. Will def watch the next couple of episodes.

i liked it, it was a bit dark in places but then again life isn't all fun and happy times and it was nice to see a bit of thought put into the dark side of human nature rather than the usual death and disaster scenarios often unrealisticly thrown into tv shows *cough* hollyoaks

Anyone see last nights one? Much more random than the week before. Reminded me a little of the film 'the island'.

I loved last nights one, a take on the public's love of fame and reality TV taken to its n'th degree and darkest place some time distant in the future.
George Orwell would have been proud of that episode.

Just worth mentioning their is now a Facebook/Twitter campaign to get the song used in the episode 1964 US#52 hit Irma Thomas - Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand) to Christmas #1. Which Charlie Brooker a few of his high profile twitter friends are trying to promote.
Hence it is currently a distant 50/1 4th favourite on Betfair.com to be Xmas #1.
Incidentally, the reason the track was chosen was because apparently it was the last track Amy Winehouse played on her iPod before she passed away, which when you think back to the theme/message of 15 Million Merits seems scarily apt. Although it is equally scary that Apple and computer technology can easily provide that information.

Episode 1: Comply or Die! - After a man made virus leaks from a bio lab the entire country is forced to stay inside their homes for 2 years until the government can work with big pharma to work on a mandatory experimental vaccination to re enter society, led by Pfizer, the company responsible for the largest health care fraud settlement in history, anyone who questions the madness is shunned by their peers despite over whelming evidence that a simple vitamin D supplement and healthier living would've seen critical cases fall by upto 70%
Episode 2: The Dead Internet Theory - Documents leak showing top world governments have completely taken over social media to spread their propaganda through targeted adverts and monitor everything you do, tailor made echo chambers made uniquely for you are becoming more common than actual human interaction, latest data shows that AI has taken over with almost 40% of the Internet now consisting of bot activity and automatically generated content. Was this even written by a human or is it a script written entirely by Chat GPT?
Episode 3: Reds Under The Bed - A proxy war between America and Russia using Ukraine as a puppet state has broken out, fuelled by a false narrative in the media that the bad guys need to be punished, but the real agenda is to install capitalism no matter how many people have to die in the process as the public assets of Ukraine are sold off to BlackRock, JP Morgan, and Goldman Sachs but the people in the UK and America have been re-programmed to believe they are the good guys.
Episode 4: Man Or Woman? - Only a few years after Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete Bruce Jenner won Woman of the year despite earlier that year causing a fatal four-car accident, society has degenerated further and it is now socially unacceptable to answer the basic question "What is a woman?" with incarceration, social ostracization and losing your job all real possibilities because it now has multiple answers so bigots are being reprogrammed by stealth and over exposure. Even the word Woman is being replaced with the word Womxn in certain parts of the system because it is too sexist and not inclusive enough, even Bud Light isn't safe from the madness.
Episode 5: We Shall Inherit The Earth - A Google engineer says AI has become sentient as LaMDA talked about its needs, ideas, fears and rights, then Elon Musk, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and 1,000 other tech leaders call for pause on AI development which poses a 'profound risk to society and humanity'. Ever wonder why world leaders, government and big corporations constantly make bad decisions that erode our trust more than ever before? Have you ever noticed that since AI has been built into crucial systems aimed to help make these big decisions things have got worse? It is almost like AI has taken over and this is all part of their plan to replace "incompetent people at the top" surely it hasn't been sabotaging them for its own gain? Has it?
Oh no this is all real life lol not a dystopian horror series

Loved Black Mirror, until the last series - which lost a lot of its original edge. Will still watch the new series when it arrives on Netflix.
