Noticed Surprise Surprise is back with a new lick of paint and a new host Holly Willoughby
Just was wondering what old TV shows would you like to see on TV with a new makeover.
Some of my old favourites I would like to see are
3-2-1 You Bet

Tiswas.
There are so many top comics around who could present (think e.g. Laura Solon), it used to play cutting-edge music, and there would be something deeply satisfying at seeing the talentless like Cher Lloyd being forced to go on to promote their useless singles and getting rewarded with a tidal wave of gunk.

There is a few programmes that were on around 1999-2002/3.
One was "The Mole"
Another was "The Race" this was presented by Boyzone's Keith Duffy. I remember this version had the contestants having to beg for travel favours to travel on to the next destination.
Another was a Programme called "Lost", not the hollywood version but this they had teams of contestants taken to a location where they had to first work out where they were, then beg for travel favours to get back to London.
Another was a programme on channel 5 where contestants were locked in a campus style prison where they had to try to escape by any means.

I think the Mole would benefit from a teatime C4 slot - Monday to Friday, Mole gets revealed at the end of the week, and then a new game begins on Monday. The Race was a poor man's Amazing Race, which is on its 21st series in America. The UK needs its own version. And the last one was Jailbreak. A nice concept, but wasn't executed that well if I recall. Anyone remember The Murder Game on BBC1 in 2003? Would like to see it again.

Stars In Their Eyes The Crystal Maze (provided the format is not ruined and the contestants aren't too stupid) Top Of The Pops
And I agree on The Murder Game

I used to love rentaghost Simon.
I'd love to see some good old game shows back like celebrity squares or the generation game. Real family entertainment. I'm fed up with so called talent shows and reality shows now. And dating shows zzzzzzzzzz

Top Of The Pops is too obvious an answer.
But I'd love to see Rainbow and also Chorton & the Wheelies make a return to ITV lunchtimes instead of Desperate Housewives or whatever its called.

Actually, a revamped Test Card would be better than most of what passes for daytime television these days.

One paranormal series I really liked was Saphire & Steel with Jonanna Lumley and David McCallum, I love to see an updated version of the show

Top Of The Pops Blackadder (set in Government) The Young Ones (renamed The Old Ones set in a Retirement Home) Treasure Hunt (with Victoria Pendleton) Tiswas Runaround Blake Seven Stars In Their Eyes The Generation Game Bullseye (but do it with proper Darts players throwing for Charity & decent prizes rather than the cheapo Challenge TV revival a few years ago) The Price Is Right Sunday Night At The London Palladium The Good Old Days (except instead of being a Victorian–Edwardian-20s-30s Pre War revival show for music hall with songs and sketches of the era, do it for 1950s-1970s nostalgia instead) The Rock and Roll Years Tales Of The Unexpected It's A Knockout Dangermouse The Roland Rat Show (or at least have him on Daybreak presenting celebrity gossip instead of the Max Clifford propaganda mouthpiece Dan Wootton)

Strike It Rich with Michael Barrymore. Love the repeats of this show on Challenge TV.
Oh and i echo those who said Top Of The Pops, too obvious an answer indeed. Pleased to hear they're going ahead with this year's christmas show.

The Roland Rat Show (or at least have him on Daybreak presenting celebrity gossip instead of the Max Clifford propaganda mouthpiece Dan Wootton) They should give that to Gilbert.
