I've supported her work since 2008 but this was too slight a chorus for me - incredibly some fans think this is still her best song. ----------------------------
ALBUM CHART
1 1 Paramore - Paramore (2 weeks; peak #1) 2 NEW Kid Cudi - Indicud
SPOTIFY STREAM The best rap album since The College Dropout for me. And unlike most, totally consistent in both quality and style, despite all the guest artists (Haim and Michael Bolton are among the names!).
3 2 M83 - Oblivion (OST) (2 weeks; peak #2) 4 3 Plumb - Need You Now (8 weeks; peak #1) 5 4 Suzanne Vega - Songs In Red and Gray (3 weeks; peak #1) 6 5 The Knife - Deep Cuts (2 weeks; peak #5) 7 NEW OMD - Architecture and Morality
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM Catching up on the first four albums. This is before they were known by the acronym OMD but i'll class them as that for all entries because i prefer it. This is from 1981 and is probably their best (i say probably as i haven't listened to albums from 84-96 yet).
8 NEW OMD - Dazzle Ships
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM From 1983, the first album credited to "OMD" and one the new album harks back to.
9 NEW OMD - Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM 1980 debut.
10 NEW OMD - Organisation
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM Their second 1980 album, named after an early name for Kraftwerk.
11 NEW Charli XCX - True Romance
SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus remix set) DEEZER PLAYLIST (featuring only the best remixes from the deluxe edition plus a mix they left off) Yes, like the album - there's a bit of waffle among that mix set so i streamlined it! As i've stated elsewhere, she needs more of the goth-pop and less of the sub-MIA/ Grimes stuff which is not as melodic or interesting.
12 NEW Olafur Arnalds - Broadchurch (TV OST, mini-album)
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM Finally! It's only 6 tracks but it's great.
13 NEW Adam and The Ants - Prince Charming
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM OF ALL THREE ALBUMS IN THIS CHART IN A BOXED SET 14 9 The Knife - Silent Shout (2 weeks; peak #9) 15 7 Vanbot - Vanbot (001) (2 weeks; peak #7) 16 8 Heathers - Kingdom (2 weeks; peak #8) 17 6 OMD - English Electric (2 weeks; peak #6) 18 NEW Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer, Different Park
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM 19 NEW Adam and The Ants - Kings Of The Wild Frontier SPOTIFY STREAM 20 10 Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing (3 weeks; peak #3) 21 NEW Adam and The Ants - Dirk Wears White Sox SPOTIFY STREAM 22 13 The Flaming Lips - The Terror (3 weeks; peak #5) 23 12 Suzanne Vega - Suzanne Vega (3 weeks; peak #4) 24 17 Tangerine Dream - Finnegans Wake (3 weeks; peak #7) 25 14 Phildel - The Disappearance Of The Girl (5 weeks; peak #1) 26 16 Karl Bartos - Off The Record (5 weeks; peak #8) 27 24 Caitlin Rose - The Stand-In (8 weeks; peak #2) 28 23 Phosphorescent - Muchacho (5 weeks; peak #5) 29 18 Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure (4 weeks; peak #4) 30 26 Dido - Girl Who Got Away (7 weeks; peak #8) 31 25 Wire - Change Becomes Us (4 weeks; peak #13) 32 15 Tangerine Dream - Le Parc (3 weeks; peak #6) 33 11 Underworld - Beaucoup Fish (2 weeks; peak #11) 34 NEW We Are Smug (feat. Darren Hayes) - We Are Smug DEEZER STREAM This experimental synth album was released free in 2009 to Darren Hayes' fans, now it emerges on sale with an extra track.
35 28 Hurts - Exile (6 weeks; peak #3) 36 29 Kavinsky - Outrun (8 weeks; peak #3) 37 31 Stars - The North (6 weeks; peak #4) 38 32 Leona Lewis - Echo (4 weeks; peak #15) 39 27 Tangerine Dream - Exit (4 weeks; peak #5) 40 33 Daughter - If You Leave (5 weeks; peak #11) 41 34 Billy Bragg - Tooth and Nail (5 weeks; peak #26) 42 NEW Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Mosquito SPOTIFY STREAM (deluxe version) DEEZER STREAM They're "maturing" - ie becoming dull dinosaurs. And it only took a decade.
43 20 Jessie Ware - Devotion (24 weeks; peak #1) 44 NEW Tomorrow's World - Tomorrow's World SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM Not great, sadly. Has a couple of nice synth tracks but a lot of it is presumably more Jean-Benoit's influence and is quite dull and sometimes awful. Come on, Lou - where's this New Sins album?? And don't put that UB40 cover on it! :x
45 NEW Hefner - We Love The City SPOTIFY STREAM (includes bonus set of singles tracks) DEEZER STREAM (also with bonus disc) The album that includes The Day That Thatcher Dies.

What comment are you referring to? Because I don't like Thatcher and "The Witch Is Dead" in your top 3, so it's nice for me. "The Wizard Of Oz" version was in my top 5. What do you mean "The Real Chart"? Are you referring to this: therealchart.blogspot.co.uk/p/this-weeks-chart-real-chart-music.html The guy that does that is on UKMix where has regular arguments about where his chart info comes from. Including one recently with me about sales of the Thatcher songs.

Italian popstar Sabrina features on the Pet Shop Boys pilfering Shopping (I Like To). MY CHART for MAY 5th 2013:
1 NEW Seasick Steve - Down On The Farm VIDEO / LIVE TV CLIP A blistering blues-rock tune that sounds like ZZ Top! Steve's only previous (and top three) entry was the similar Diddley Bo. You'll notice John Paul Jones (Led Zep/ Them Crooked Vultures) on bass in that clip from Jools Holland.
2 1 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (2 weeks; peak #1) 3 2 Miss Kittin - Come Into My House / Bassline (2 weeks; peak #2) 4 3 Man Without Machines - Something's Happening Here (2 weeks; peak #3) 5 NEW Shystie - Scumbag VIDEO (strong content)
Rapid fire UK female rap about a cheating boyfriend.
6 4 Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was Us (7 weeks; peak #1) 7 11 Dido - End Of Night VIDEO (contains flashing imagery) (8 weeks; peak #3) 8 5 Say Lou Lou - Julian (2 weeks; peak #5) 9 NEW Shystie - Doppelganger FAN VIDEO (censored audio) / UNCENSORED AUDIO STREAM
So Shystie featured Azealia Banks on a (lesser) track called Control It VIDEO and when the video came out Banks was not pleased and tried to have it removed. The ensuing Twitter war can be seen here and Shystie's recorded response to Banks' insults and lack of respect is Doppelganger - available as a free track on pre-orders of her album or to hear via Spotify in place of Control It. The track is hilarious and the best diss rap track ever - Banks is rubbish, anyway and not just the Yung Rapunxel monstrosity that Shy mentions. She's a nightmare to work with by all accounts.
10 6 M83 with Susanne Sundfor - Oblivion (4 weeks; peak #2) 11 8 Kid Cudi - King Wizard (3 weeks; peak #4) 12 7 Cousin Marnie - Never Let The Devil Get The Upper Hand (2 weeks; peak #7) 13 NEW Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Mermaids LYRIC VIDEO The one great track from Push The Sky Away.

36 25 Amelia Lily - Party Over (7 weeks; peak #21) 37 30 Basement Jaxx - Back 2 The Wild (3 weeks; peak #19) 38 NEW Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills VIDEO Belgium ESC entry and not to be confused with the Freddie Mercury/ Little Boots song!

ALBUM CHART for MAY 5th 2013:
1 NEW Bo Bruce - Before I Sleep SPOTIFY STREAM The runner-up in The Voice UK last year. It's a set that features an impressive roll call of collaborators - members of Snow Patrol, Athlete, Alisha's Attic, Zero 7, EMF plus Greg Kurstin, Ingrid Michaelson and er, Danny from The Script (her former mentor/ boyfriend). It's a fitting album for her voice and is like a cross between Sarah McLachlan and Diana Vickers. She has a top ten album and Radio 2 backing, which is more than winner Leanne Mitchell is likely to get.
2 1 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (2 weeks; peak #1) 3 NEW Seasick Steve - Hubcap Music
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Yes, Steve's guitars on this album are partly made from car hubcaps! The aforementioned John Paul Jones is on the whole album playing various instruments along with Steve. Jack White appears on one track.
4 NEW Neon Neon - Praxis Makes Perfect
DEEZER STREAM Second album of synth from SFA's Gruff and Boom Bip. Not quite as good as Stainless Style. Italian popstar Sabrina features on the Pet Shop Boys pilfering Shopping (I Like To).
5 2 Miss Kittin - Calling From The Stars (2 weeks; peak #2) 6 NEW Shystie - Pink Mist
SPOTIFY STREAM (includes Doppelganger) As stated above, Control It is replaced on the stream by pre-order download Doppelganger. She calls it an EP but it has 8(9) tracks in total.
7 NEW Low Sea - Las Olas
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Their previous full length. More like The Horrors than the new album's more full-on synth shades. 8 NEW Steve Martin and Edie Brickell - Love Has Come For You
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Another strumming Steve! Carving out a second career as a bluegrass artist is comedian / actor Steve Martin. This album is a collaboration with singer Edie Brickell and is lovely.
9 NEW ABC - The Lexicon Of Love
DEEZER STREAM (with bonus disc) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus disc) John's ongoing 1980's album chart voting list (on UKMix) has got me frantically catching up on classic or good albums i didn't hear in full, including this   . Featuring the core of what became The Art Of Noise on production, this album is regarded as seminal 80's pop and rightly so. It's only #9 because i know half of it so well already.
10 NEW Simple Minds - Sons and Fascination / Sister Feelings Call
SPOTIFY STREAM DEEZER STREAM (part of X5 box set including extra tracks) And i'm catching up with this group - starting with the first five albums - via the X5 box set that is streamable on Deezer. This was originally two albums in one and is still regarded as such in the main. Hugely influential in the areas of synth / electronic / dance music - see Raven Maize's Real Life hit.
11 NEW Simple Minds - Empires and Dance SPOTIFY STREAM See #10 for Deezer box set stream.
12 NEW Adam Ant - Friend Or Foe SPOTIFY STREAM And this from 1982! His solo debut.
13 NEW Low Sea - The Light (mini-album) SPOTIFY STREAM 14 NEW Simple Minds - New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84) SPOTIFY STREAM It may have been the global commercial breakthrough but it's not their best.
15 3 Paramore - Paramore (4 weeks; peak #1) 16 NEW Heaven 17 - Penthouse and Pavement DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The classic album from the synth kids that broke from The Human League and introduced vocalist Glenn Gregory. More political / social commentary than most synth albums. Stayed on UK chart for 77 weeks! 17 4 Kid Cudi - Indicud (3 weeks; peak #2) 18 NEW Altered Images - Happy Birthday DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM All three of Clare Grogan *swoon* and co.'s albums chart this week. This was the first and their most "pure". Sadly, the streams don't include the recent remastered bonus track versions and some of the singles featured on the original versions are inferior extended versions. Their best album, then is the collection that i own on CD called Reflected Images DEEZER STREAM.
19 5 Plumb - Need You Now (10 weeks; peak #1) 20 7 Man Without Machines - The Kreuzberg Press (2 weeks; peak #7) 21 6 Suzanne Vega - Songs In Red and Gray (5 weeks; peak #1) 22 NEW Altered Images - Pinky Blue DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 23 NEW Simple Minds - Life In A Day SPOTIFY STREAM 24 8 Karl Hyde - Edgeland (2 weeks; peak #8) 25 9 Sumera - Stop Heart (EP/ mini-album) (2 weeks; peak #9) 26 NEW Bo Bruce - Search The Night (EP / mini-album) DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The full EP that features hit Raising Arizona. The actual song called Search The Night isn't on here but is a bonus track on the full length.
27 12 Two Door Cinema Club - Beacon (2 weeks; peak #12) 28 13 The Knife - Deep Cuts (4 weeks; peak #5) 29 16 Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer, Different Park (3 weeks; peak #16) 30 11 M83 - Oblivion (OST) (4 weeks; peak #2) 31 21 Dido - Girl Who Got Away (9 weeks; peak #8) 32 15 Heathers - Kingdom (4 weeks; peak #8) 33 17 Vanbot - Vanbot (001) (4 weeks; peak #7) 34 NEW Altered Images - Bite DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 35 14 Charli XCX - True Romance (3 weeks; peak #11) 36 23 Hurts - Exile (8 weeks; peak #3) 37 19 Tangerine Dream - Finnegans Wake (5 weeks; peak #7) 38 26 Caitlin Rose - The Stand-In (10 weeks; peak #2) 39 28 Phosphorescent - Muchacho (7 weeks; peak #5) 40 NEW Simple Minds - Real To Real Cacophony SPOTIFY STREAM 41 30 Stars - The North (8 weeks; peak #4) 42 18 The Knife - Silent Shout (4 weeks; peak #9) 43 10 Olafur Arnalds - Broadchurch (TV OST, mini-album) (3 weeks; peak #10) 44 29 Wire - Change Becomes Us (6 weeks; peak #13) 45 27 Phildel - The Disappearance Of The Girl (7 weeks; peak #1) 46 NEW Various Artists - Eurovision Song Contest Malmo 2013 SEMI-FINAL #1 YOUTUBE PLAYLIST STREAM SEMI-FINAL #2 YOUTUBE PLAYLIST STREAM AUTOMATIC FINALISTS YOUTUBE PLAYLIST STREAM 47 22 OMD - Architecture and Morality (3 weeks; peak #7) 48 20 The Flaming Lips - The Terror (5 weeks; peak #5) 49 35 Karl Bartos - Off The Record (7 weeks; peak #8) 50 37 Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure (6 weeks; peak #4)

ALBUM CHART for MAY 5th 2013:
1 NEW Brian Eno - Ambient 4: On Land DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Get ready for more and more albums from 81 / 82 / 83 / 84 this week! This 1982 classic was an early case of "dark ambient" - unsettling, atmospheric music that Boards Of Canada and similar acts have taken inspiration from.
2 NEW Yazoo - Upstairs At Eric's
DEEZER STREAM (UK version) SPOTIFY STREAM (part of In Your Room box set which includes Situation) 1982. Known as Yaz in the States for copyright reasons and with a slightly different tracklist - i took both versions into account as Situation really should be on the UK album. I knew the singles of course but am still stunned at just how good this debut from Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke is. Another Clarke debut appears lower down as does a new album by Alison!
3 NEW Tears For Fears - The Hurting
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 debut. As expected, top quality serious-minded pop - the art rock end of pop that also includes A-ha and Talk Talk.
4 NEW ZZ Top - Eliminator
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983. The huge electro-blues-rock phenomenon. After devouring a hits album it's nice to hear an original set. No-one else has made rock music so danceable as ZZ Top. Now go listen to Seasick Steve's single!
5 NEW A Flock Of Seagulls - A Flock Of Seagulls
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 debut. Synth heaven. A shame some people can't look past the haircut.
6 NEW Blancmange - Happy Families
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 again! Featuring the shouty synth anthem Living On The Ceiling and Feel Me (later covered / sampled by Faithless). Another group that don't get the respect they deserve as album artists.
7 1 Bo Bruce - Before I Sleep (2 weeks; peak #1) She still has the #1 new album!
8 2 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (3 weeks; peak #1) 9 NEW Thea Gilmore - Regardless
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Her 14th album is her most streamlined and commercial and looks set to be her first top 40 entry! 10 NEW Alison Moyet - The Minutes
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The new album is a return to electronic blues, courtesy of co-writer and producer Guy Sigsworth.
11 NEW A Flock Of Seagulls - Listen DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Album 2 from 1984. Features Wishing the big UK hit and clearly the best, no matter what Americans believe! The album can't quite live up to it, though.
12 NEW Killing Joke - What's This For...! DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM I own the slightly better 1980 debut and a compilation. This is the second album. Coincidentally, a new - more thorough - singles collection was released this week (i don't chart such releases).
13 NEW Killing Joke - Revelations DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Album 3.
14 NEW Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age Of Wireless DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM (includes US version tracks) A unique talent in pop whose success was both inconsistent and fleeting in US and UK. 15 NEW Depeche Mode - Speak and Spell DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1981 debut and only album with Vince Clarke.
16 5 Miss Kittin - Calling From The Stars (3 weeks; peak #2) 17 NEW The Belle Stars - The Belle Stars SPOTIFY STREAM (part of The Complete Belle Stars box set) The only album by the effervescent all-girl band.
18 NEW Depeche Mode - Construction Time Again DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983. First album with Alan Wilder and the first move into industrial rock. I own the three albums that follow as they contain songs i love most by them.
19 NEW Def Leppard - Pyromania YOUTUBE PLAYLIST STREAM / Billy's Got A Gun YOUTUBE AUDIO STREAM I know and love the pop-metal perfection that is Hysteria but as a Brit this previous album wasn't so big here.
20 NEW Chasing Grace - Dinner Will Be Served (EP / mini-album) DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM A British male - female duo who make dramatic urban-tinged "indie" pop. This 5-track is making an impression on iTunes, they could be big.
21 NEW Divinyls - Desperate DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 debut by Aussie new wave rockers led by the late Chrissy Amphlett.
22 NEW Bryan Adams - Cuts Like A Knife DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM I know and love(d) Reckless - this is the previous. Decent melodic hard rock is so rare and it's a shame he became a bit of a parody of himself so quickly.
23 NEW Malcolm McLaren and Co. - Duck Rock DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 - influential cross-genre mash-up album. I added the "and Co." credit as it's a bit cheeky of Malc to claim full credit for something he barely worked on! He brought initial ideas and his characteristic vocals to a few of the tracks but Trevor Horn and his crew (including Anne Dudley), the New York DJ/ scratching group The World's Famous Supreme Team and the uncredited African musicians Mahotella Queens are the ones who deserve credit. I also prefer some of his later tracks so those albums may chart higher than this when i get to them.
24 NEW A Flock Of Seagulls - The Story Of A Young Heart DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 25 NEW Deftones - Koi No Yokan DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Latest album by progressive metal band. Just about the only decent band in metal around now?
26 NEW Yazoo - You and Me Both DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Soft-centred second and final album.
27 NEW Thompson Twins - Quick Step and Side Kick DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 28 NEW Little Boots - Nocturnes DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Not-so-great second album.
29 NEW Thompson Twins - A Product Of... (Participation) DEEZER STREAM (part of Thompson Twins Box with first five albums and bonus singles tracks0 SPOTIFY STREAM (part of Thompson Twins Box with first five albums and bonus singles tracks) 30 NEW Thompson Twins - Set See above for streams. Their early more guitar heavy independent years. That box set is exhaustive and top value!
31 3 Seasick Steve - Hubcap Music (2 weeks; peak #3) 32 NEW Bonnie Tyler - Faster Than The Speed Of Night DEEZER STREAM (double set with Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire) SPOTIFY STREAM Her big album with Jim Steinman. Features a cover of Straight From The Heart - Bryan Adams' song from #22.
33 NEW Depeche Mode - A Broken Frame DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 34 NEW Echo and The Bunnymen - Porcupine SPOTIFY STREAM 35 8 Steve Martin and Edie Brickell - Love Has Come For You (2 weeks; peak #8) 36 NEW Pistol Annies - Annie Up DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 37 6 Shystie - Pink Mist (2 weeks; peak #6) 38 4 Neon Neon - Praxis Makes Perfect (2 weeks; peak #4) 39 7 Low Sea - Las Olas (2 weeks; peak #7) 40 15 Paramore - Paramore (5 weeks; peak #1) 41 20 Man Without Machines - The Kreuzberg Press (3 weeks; peak #7) 42 NEW REM - Murmur DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus live disc) 1983 debut. Not enough hard rock power for me.
43 9 ABC - The Lexicon Of Love (2 weeks; peak #9) 44 10 Simple Minds - Sons and Fascination / Sister Feelings Call (2 weeks; peak #10) 45 NEW Killing Joke - Fire Dances DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 46 19 Plumb - Need You Now (11 weeks; peak #1) 47 17 Kid Cudi - Indicud (4 weeks; peak #2) 48 NEW Caro Emerald - The Shocking Miss Emerald No stream - i listened to a YouTube playlist stream that has now been mostly removed. Not a classic like Scenes...
49 21 Suzanne Vega - Songs In Red and Gray (6 weeks; peak #1) 50 24 Karl Hyde - Edgeland (3 weeks; peak #8) 51 11 Simple Minds - Empires and Dance (2 weeks; peak #11) 52 12 Adam Ant - Friend Or Foe (2 weeks; peak #12) 53 31 Dido - Girl Who Got Away (10 weeks; peak #8) 54 27 Two Door Cinema Club - Beacon (3 weeks; peak #12) 55 25 Sumera - Stop Heart (EP/ mini-album) (3 weeks; peak #9) 56 NEW Bonnie Tyler - Rocks and Honey DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Her brand new album - mostly country rock like her roots. More of the rock stormers like This Is Gonna Hurt would have been better. The long version of her Eurovision ballad doesn't improve it.
57 NEW Freur - Doot-Doot DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 debut from synth band that became Underworld (and for a short time were known by an unprounceable squiggle!). Contains the brilliant minor hit title track.
58 NEW Billy Idol - Billy Idol DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Rather average bar the singles and one other track.
59 NEW Nina Hagen - Nunsexmonkrock DEEZER STREAM (with bonus Nina Hagen Band tracks) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus Nina Hagen Band tracks) German alternative music legend who i know from Adamski's Get Your Body and her punk songs. I respect her but this is not my idea of great music! The punk tracks on the bonus set are good, though. It's a shame her next album - a Giorgio Moroder set - is not on streaming sites, though.
60 NEW The Clash - Combat Rock DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Contains three great single tracks Straight To Hell (my fave Clash song), Rock The Casbah and Should I Stay... and one OK one in Know Your Rights but the rest is hopelessly average. I will listen to the earlier albums later. I have The Best Of and have loved it for years. The fact that this was their biggest US album is appalling, given how sh*t it is.
61 13 Low Sea - The Light (mini-album) (2 weeks; peak #13) 62 18 Altered Images - Happy Birthday (2 weeks; peak #18) 63 29 Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer, Different Park (4 weeks; peak #16) 64 22 Altered Images - Pinky Blue (2 weeks; peak #22) 65 14 Simple Minds - New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84) (2 weeks; peak #14)
 It's a dream alright. Thank technology for streaming!

Noticed later there are four albums with "rock" in the title! I should also say i own most Killing Joke albums from 94 onwards as well as the debut.

MY CHART for MAY 19th 2013:
The kiss that killed the song... You'd rather see that than Seasick Steve again, right?
1 1 Seasick Steve - Down On The Farm VIDEO (3 weeks; peak #1) 2 2 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (4 weeks; peak #1) 3 3 Miss Kittin - Come Into My House / Bassline (4 weeks; peak #2) 4 4 Man Without Machines - Something's Happening Here (4 weeks; peak #3) 5 5 Dido - End Of Night (10 weeks; peak #3) 6 7 Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was Us (9 weeks; peak #1) 7 6 Say Lou Lou - Julian VIDEO (4 weeks; peak #5) 8 9 Bright Light Bright Light - Moves (2 weeks; PEAK) 9 10 Nero - Into The Past (4 weeks; PEAK) 10 8 Shystie - Scumbag (3 weeks; peak #5) 11 31 Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me ESC FINAL LIVE CLIP (3 weeks; PEAK) ...from one of the faves to one of the worst placed - only 7 points. Had to be the furore over the fake "lesbian" kiss at the end. Even missed the UK vote - yet we're buying it enough to make iTunes top 100.
12 18 Ellie Goulding and Madeon - Stay Awake (2 weeks; PEAK) 13 NEW Anouk - Birds VIDEO / ESC FINAL LIVE CLIP Wasn't won over until the semi. Did reasonably well in the vote.
14 11 M83 with Susanne Sundfor - Oblivion (6 weeks; peak #2) 15 14 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Mermaids OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO (3 weeks; peak #13) 16 13 Cousin Marnie - Never Let The Devil Get The Upper Hand (3 weeks; peak #7) 17 12 Kid Cudi - King Wizard (5 weeks; peak #4) 18 NEW Filter - What Do You Say? 22 17 Kid Cudi with King Chip - Just What I Am (5 weeks; peak #3) 23 43 Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills ESC FINAL LIVE CLIP (3 weeks; PEAK) This kid deserved better. If this was The Wanted or One Direction it would be huge.

Eurovision don't seem to have uploaded the Final clip but the Semi one is identical.
27 20 Deftones - Swerve City (2 weeks; peak #20) 28 NEW Blake Shelton with Pistol Annies and Friends - Boys 'Round Here VIDEO / UNCENSORED AUDIO Among the "Friends" are The Voice contestant RaeLynn. I prefer the one with the cursing! 29 RE Kacey Musgraves - Blowin' Smoke VIDEO (contains smoking!) (4 weeks; peak #22) And more of the same dirrrty country! Not that i find smoking sexy - at least not if i'm breathing it!
30 22 Deap Vally - Baby I Call Hell (3 weeks; peak #18) 31 23 Sumera - Bright Lies (4 weeks; peak #16) 32 24 Neon Neon - Mid Century Modern Nightmare (8 weeks; peak #9) 33 26 Pet Shop Boys - Axis (3 weeks; peak #26) 34 NEW Rod Stewart - She Makes Me Happy VIDEO UK got the gloopy ballad It's Over, US got this Faces-ish stomper as the first single.

MY ALBUM CHART for MAY 19th 2013:
1 1 Brian Eno - Ambient 4: On Land (2 weeks; peak #1) 2 NEW Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual
DEEZER STREAM (double set with True Colors) SPOTIFY STREAM Her classic 1983 debut. UK really don't realise how good this is.
3 NEW The Waterboys - A Pagan Place
DEEZER STREAM (bonus track remaster) SPOTIFY STREAM (bonus track remaster) A group (basically Mike Scott and whoever he brings along with him) that don't get enough recognition. If you loved The Whole Of The Moon you'll love the album that preceded it.
4 NEW The The - Soul Mining
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Another "group" that is the vision of one person - Matt Johnson. This is the debut, takes you in directions you don't expect. 5 NEW Brian Eno - Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Recorded for the soundtrack of a space documentary only half of it was used. Features An Ending (Ascent) which you've heard in numerous TV spots and Deep Blue Day heard in Trainspotting.
6 NEW The Waterboys - The Waterboys
DEEZER STREAM (bonus track remaster) SPOTIFY STREAM (bonus track remaster) The debut - featuring the stunning Christmas hit-that-never-was December.
7 NEW The Pogues - Red Roses For Me
DEEZER STREAM (part of Original Album Series box set SPOTIFY STREAM (part of Original Album Series box set) The debut. Why would you waste your time on Mumford and Sons when you have the real deal in this group?
8 3 Tears For Fears - The Hurting (2 weeks; peak #3) 9 2 Yazoo - Upstairs At Eric's (2 weeks; peak #2) 10 NEW Run-DMC - Run-DMC
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Classic 1984 rap debut. Features the original It's Like That and the rock-rap track Rock Box (Walk This Way was just a progression, not the first!). 11 NEW New Order - Power, Corruption and Lies DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983. Blue Monday is absent as they didn't go by conventional single-album release patterns at this point.
12 4 ZZ Top - Eliminator (2 weeks; peak #4) 13 5 A Flock Of Seagulls - A Flock Of Seagulls (2 weeks; peak #5) 14 8 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (4 weeks; peak #1) 15 NEW Simple Minds - Sparkle In The Rain DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Contains Waterfront which caused mini-riots on the dancefloor at the now-defunct Stockton Riverside club of the same name i used to go to!
16 NEW The Human League - Hysteria DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM They followed Dare with this less bombastic set. And it was downhill from there (bar a brief mid-90's revival).
17 NEW INXS - The Swing DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1984. Features Aus #1 Original Sin.
18 NEW Ministry - With Sympathy DEEZER STREAM (with bonus rarities disc) SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 debut. Not yet industrial rock, this was Al and some early members doing typical eighties synth-pop! He's embarrassed by it but he really shouldn't be. Not quite Flock Of Seagulls standard but not far off.
19 7 Bo Bruce - Before I Sleep (3 weeks; peak #1) 20 NEW REM - Reckoning DEEZER STREAM (with bonus live set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus rare tracks) 1984 and a big improvement on the debut.
21 NEW Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 1983 and his debut UK chart entry. Also features his only UK top 100 single In The Neighborhood. 22 NEW Thompson Twins - Into The Gap DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 23 NEW Malcolm McLaren and Co. - Fans DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM This time Stephen Hague is the main producer on this influential "hip-hopera" experiment - features the stunning Madam Butterfly.
24 NEW Billy Idol - Rebel Yell DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 25 NEW Blancmange - Mange Tout DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set) 26 NEW Echo and The Bunnymen - Ocean Rain DEEZER STREAM (with new bonus live set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus live original EP) The one with The Killing Moon from Donnie Darko.
27 NEW Howard Jones - Human's Lib DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 28 NEW The Pretenders - Learning To Crawl DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM 1984. It's funny how this is one of the few albums to credit them as "The" Pretenders yet in the Deezer search it's one of the ones not under "The".
29 6 Blancmange - Happy Families (2 weeks; peak #6) 30 NEW Bonnie Tyler - Secret Dreams and Forbidden Fire DEEZER STREAM (with Faster... album) SPOTIFY STREAM 31 NEW Eurythmics - 1984 (For The Love Of Big Brother) (OST / inspired by) DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM I bought all their remastered albums (bar 1999's Peace) two years ago. This one was not remastered and harder to get. Intended to soundtrack the film Nineteen Eighty-Four (or 1984) starring John Hurt the director binned most of it and replaced it without consulting the duo. It's more of an extended EP with Sexcrime as the lead than a proper album.
32 NEW OMD - Junk Culture DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM A distinct drop in quality from their previous albums. Pleased to say the new album can now be streamed so it should re-enter next week.
33 NEW Yello - You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 34 NEW Yes - 90125 ^ DEEZER STREAM (with bonus tracks) SPOTIFY STREAM Features Owner Of A Lonely Heart - the song that gave birth to Trevor Horn and Co's The Art Of Noise. 35 16 Miss Kittin - Calling From The Stars (4 weeks; peak #2) 36 9 Thea Gilmore - Regardless (2 weeks; peak #9) 37 NEW Aztec Camera - Knife DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Other versions of the album have their B-side / AA-side cover of Van Halen's Jump AUDIO STREAM as a bonus track.
38 NEW Van Halen - 1984 DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM And here's the original!
39 NEW ABC - Beauty Stab DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM They needed Trevor Horn.
40 11 A Flock Of Seagulls - Listen (2 weeks; peak #11) 41 NEW Blake Shelton - Based On A True Story... DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The highest new album entry of the week. The title is a con as he didn't write any of it but it does match similar events in his life.
42 10 Alison Moyet - The Minutes (2 weeks; peak #10) 43 NEW Aztec Camera - High Land, Hard Rain DEEZER STREAM (disc one of Original Album Series box set) SPOTIFY STREAM (disc one of Original Album Series box set) 44 NEW Sheila E - The Glamorous Life SPOTIFY STREAM Prince's drummer and an album he co-produced. Sadly, it's not much more special than the two known singles.
45 NEW Herbie Hancock - Future Shock SPOTIFY STREAM Was expecting more from this too. Features the brilliant video sensation Rockit.
46 RE Various Artists - Eurovision Song Contest Malmo 2013 (2 weeks; peak #46) Turns up at 46 again!
47 NEW Mark Knopfler - Cal (OST) DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM I loved this 1984 Irish film when i saw it on TV - Helen Mirren taking her clothes off helped!
48 NEW Thomas Dolby - The Flat Earth DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set) 49 31 Seasick Steve - Hubcap Music (3 weeks; peak #3) 50 35 Steve Martin ^ and Edie Brickell - Love Has Come For You (3 weeks; peak #8) 51 NEW MS MR - Secondhand Rapture DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM NY duo who sound like a pale version of Florence.
52 NEW Wang Chung - Points On The Curve SPOTIFY STREAM Their new album is great, i thought their biggest from 1983 would be but sadly not.
53 NEW Agnetha Faltskog - A DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM (with track commentary) Most of this new album is saccharine gloop as expected (and her voice is thin, too) but Dance The Pain Away is fast exciting dance-pop and I Was A Flower is quite affecting. I loved ABBA and the first batch of A and F's solo albums but the hardcore faithful are very forgiving, it has to be said and will accept any rubbish a former member puts out.
54 NEW Rod Stewart - Time DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM And it's a similar case with this - Rod's first "rock" album in over a decade. While the likes of She Makes Me Happy are fine quasi-folk Faces throwbacks we have an awful lot of the bland mush that killed his rock career in the first place. Mind you, at least it had enough to it that i listened to it, Primal Scream's new one sounds so shockingly dull from the singles i can't bring myself to check it out.
55 38 Neon Neon - Praxis Makes Perfect (3 weeks; peak #4) 56 40 Paramore - Paramore (6 weeks; peak #1) 57 20 Chasing Grace - Dinner Will Be Served (EP / mini-album) (2 weeks; peak #20) 58 41 Man Without Machines - The Kreuzberg Press (4 weeks; peak #7) 59 47 Kid Cudi - Indicud (5 weeks; peak #2) 60 17 The Belle Stars - The Belle Stars (2 weeks; peak #17)

MY CHART FOR MAY 26th 2013:
1 NEW Boards Of Canada - Reach For The Dead VIDEO The ambient masters are back after a seven year wait!
2 NEW Steve Taylor - Meltdown (At Madame Tussaud's) VIDEO
Discovered this guy randomly while on Discogs. He's a Christian artist who through the eighties and early nineties made a series of challenging, sometimes satirical records - even got himself banned from some Christian stores! This song was played on MTV and makes no mention of Jesus - it's a Devo / Thomas Dolby -ish funky pop song and is nuttily infectious! From 1984 - i don't usually chart so old songs so they have to be remarkable in some way for me to do so.
3 1 Seasick Steve - Down On The Farm (4 weeks; peak #1) 4 NEW Steve Taylor - I Blew Up The Clinic Real Good VIDEO And here's a song / video from 1987 that got him banned! A satirical swipe at certain evangelicals who advocate bombing abortion clinics. As ever with satire, he was taken seriously and both this and the parent album got heat from which he never recovered. There's more from him in my album chart.
5 NEW Kids In Glass Houses - Drive AUDIO Surprisingly great new single. More synth than metal but that seems to be the trend in rock these days. It's like Duran Duran!
6 2 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (5 weeks; peak #1) 7 3 Miss Kittin - Come Into My House / Bassline (5 weeks; peak #2) 8 4 Man Without Machines - Something's Happening Here (5 weeks; peak #3) 9 11 Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me (4 weeks; PEAK) 10 18 Filter - What Do You Say? (2 weeks; PEAK) 11 NEW The 1975 - The City VIDEO Another rock / electronic mash-up from this increasingly popular group. I believe it is a rerecording of an earlier EP track and is the track that gets the chart credit for the new EP - it's certainly the only track i love on it.
12 6 Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was Us (10 weeks; peak #1) 13 5 Dido - End Of Night (11 weeks; peak #3) 14 7 Say Lou Lou - Julian (5 weeks; peak #5) 15 8 Bright Light Bright Light - Moves (3 weeks; peak #8) 16 RE Prince Innocence - Golden Hour VIDEO (4 weeks; peak #14) 17 12 Ellie Goulding and Madeon - Stay Awake (3 weeks; peak #12) 18 9 Nero - Into The Past (5 weeks; peak #9) 19 10 Shystie - Scumbag (4 weeks; peak #5) 20 13 Anouk - Birds (2 weeks; peak #13) 21 15 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Mermaids (4 weeks; peak #13) 22 16 Cousin Marnie - Never Let The Devil Get The Upper Hand (5 weeks; peak #7) 23 42 Selena Gomez - Come and Get It (3 weeks; PEAK) 24 21 Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (4 weeks; peak #21) 25 14 M83 with Susanne Sundfor - Oblivion (7 weeks; peak #2) 26 23 Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills (4 weeks; peak #23) 27 26 Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love (3 weeks; peak #26) 28 28 Blake Shelton with Pistol Annies and Friends - Boys 'Round Here (2 weeks; peak #28) 29 NEW Abbe May - T.R.O.U.B.L.E. VIDEO 30 NEW Abbe May - Karmageddon VIDEO Australian alternative female artist. See album chart.

------------
MY ALBUM CHART FOR MAY 26th 2013:
1 NEW Skinny Puppy - Remission SPOTIFY STREAM (bonus version) 1984 debut album from industrial / electronic legends. If you like Nine Inch Nails rewind to where it started from.
I will only post stream links for the top 20 as long as i'm doing these eighties catch ups as it takes far too long otherwise. You know where to look, anyway!
2 NEW Alison Moyet - Alf
YOUTUBE STREAM Weirdly this isn't on stream sites yet all her others are. Her solo debut.
3 NEW Visage - Hearts and Knives
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Brand new album from Steve and various older members helping out - with Midge and Rusty featuring somewhere. Yes, it really is that good! I'm surprised - especially as the two promoed songs are by no means classics. Better than the recent OMD album. A shame none of their eighties albums are on stream sites.
4 NEW Nik Kershaw - Human Racing
DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set) And this was a nice surprise! Far more interesting and satisfying than his rival Howard Jones' debut.
5 NEW Billy Bragg - Brewing Up With Billy Bragg
DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set including Between The Wars EP) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set as above) Full length debut by the Bardster.
6 NEW Killing Joke - Night Time
DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set) The 1985 album featuring their big hit Love Like Blood and the song Eighties (which was in the film Weird Science and was ripped off by Nirvana for Come As You Are).
7 1 Brian Eno - Ambient 4: On Land (3 weeks; peak #1) 8 NEW Steve Taylor - I Predict 1990
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The album that features I Blew Up The Clinic... posted on the singles chart. The cover also stirred up a fuss with some Christians with Steve being accused of saluting Satan and resembling a tarot card. This is his most straightforwardly rock album - akin to Dire Straits or Huey Lewis. Also includes a song called Jim Morrison's Grave.
9 NEW Daft Punk - Discovery
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM So i caught up on all the albums and this is their best. They still don't have a track as awesome as Da Funk (which i bought when it came out) but this is streamlined almost-perfect mainstream dance - what their new album most certainly is not.
10 NEW Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Much better and more blatantly pop than her folky single would suggest.
11 NEW Abbe May - Kiss My Apocalypse DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM I had to listen based on that title!
12 NEW Bronski Beat - The Age Of Consent SPOTIFY STREAM 13 NEW Fad Gadget - Gag DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM And more electronic / industrial madness! From Mute records (home of Mode) this is the late Frank Tovey and has a classic single in Collapsing New People.
14 NEW Billy Bragg - Life's A Riot With Spy vs Spy (mini-album) DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set) The debut release - featuring the original A New England that Kirsty MacColl covered.
15 NEW A-ha - Hunting High and Low DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Some fantastic singles but not so great album tracks.
16 NEW Daft Punk - Human After All DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 17 NEW Daft Punk - Tron: Legacy (OST) DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 18 NEW Steve Taylor - Meltdown DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 19 NEW Steve Taylor - On The Fritz DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 20 NEW Tears For Fears - Songs From The Big Chair DEEZER STREAM (with bonus set) SPOTIFY STREAM (with bonus set) Surprisingly not as great as The Hurting. The relatively bland Everybody Wants To Rule The World is indicative of the set, despite the amazing and brutal Shout.
21 NEW The Sisters Of Mercy - First and Last and Always 22 NEW Run-DMC - King Of Rock 23 NEW Yello - Stella 24 3 The Waterboys - A Pagan Place (2 weeks; peak #3) 25 NEW Electric Lady Lab - Flash! 26 NEW New Order - Low Life 27 NEW Daft Punk - Homework 28 NEW Anouk - Sad Singalong Songs 29 NEW Ruby Frost - Volition 30 NEW Nik Kershaw - The Riddle 31 NEW A Flock Of Seagulls - Dream Come True 32 NEW LLoyd Cole and The Commotions - Rattlesnakes 33 4 The The - Soul Mining (2 weeks; peak #4) 34 NEW Megadeth - Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! 35 NEW REM - Fables Of The Reconstruction 36 NEW The Cult - Dreamtime 37 5 Brian Eno - Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks (2 weeks; peak #5) 38 NEW Dead Or Alive - Sophisticated Boom Boom 39 NEW Steve Taylor - I Want To Be A Clone (mini-album) 40 NEW Christian Death - Catastrophe Ballet 41 NEW Bruce Springsteen - Born In The USA 42 NEW Krause - No Guts, No Glory 43 NEW Krause - Tenderfoot 44 14 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (5 weeks; peak #1) 45 9 Yazoo - Upstairs At Eric's (3 weeks; peak #2) 46 NEW OMD - Crush 47 19 Bo Bruce - Before I Sleep (4 weeks; peak #1) 48 RE OMD - English Electric (4 weeks; peak #6) FINALLY A DEEZER STREAM! FINALLY A SPOTIFY STREAM! 49 NEW Daft Punk - Random Access Memories 50 NEW Sade - Diamond Life 51 2 Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual (2 weeks; peak #2) 52 NEW Kindness - World, You Need A Change Of Mind 53 NEW Amy Grant - How Mercy Looks From Here 54 NEW Yasmine Hamdan - Ya Nass 55 NEW Sheena Easton - A Private Heaven 56 NEW Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms 57 NEW Alphaville - Forever Young 58 NEW Go West - Go West 59 8 Tears For Fears - The Hurting (3 weeks; peak #3) 60 10 Run-DMC - Run-DMC (2 weeks; peak #10) 61 NEW Dead Or Alive - Youthquake 62 NEW Sade - Promise 63 NEW Wham! - Make It BIg 64 NEW Robert Plant - Shaken 'n' Stirred 65 NEW Krista Siegfrids - Ding Dong! 66 NEW 'Til Tuesday - Voices Carry 67 6 The Waterboys - The Waterboys (2 weeks; peak #6) 68 7 The Pogues - Red Roses For Me (2 weeks; peak #7) 69 11 New Order - Power, Corruption and Lies (2 weeks; peak #11) 70 13 A Flock Of Seagulls - A Flock Of Seagulls (3 weeks; peak #5) 71 12 ZZ Top - Eliminator (3 weeks; peak #4) 72 35 Miss Kittin - Calling From The Stars (5 weeks; peak #2) 73 15 Simple Minds - Sparkle In The Rain (2 weeks; peak #15) 74 NEW Demi Lovato - Demi 75 16 The Human League - Hysteria (2 weeks; peak #16)

MY CHART FOR JUNE 2nd 2013:
1 NEW Belinda Carlisle - Sun VIDEO Her best single since Do You Feel Like A Feel? 23 years ago! Co-written with Jane Wiedlin.
2 NEW Agnetha Faltskog - Dance Your Pain Away AUDIO
The one great big pop song on her new album. Sounds like both ABBA and Kylie, it was composed by hitmaker Jorgen Eloffson.
3 43 Diana Vickers - Cinderella VIDEO (6 weeks; PEAK)
 The last time a Diana song took a sudden huge leap upon the video release was when Once vaulted from outside the top ten to #1! It's still not as good the forthcoming album's title track (#1 on my chart Christmas era 2011) but the lovely leggy video has opened my ears as well as my eyes - co-written with the same team, featuring Xenomania's Miranda Cooper and Donkeyboy producer Simen Eriksrud (not actually Donkeyboy themselves which Vickers led us to believe).
4 15 Bright Light Bright Light - Moves VIDEO (3 weeks; peak #8)
Another gem from the one-man Pet Shop Boy.
5 NEW Banks - Warm Water VIDEO
Jessie Ware fans!! Yes, the music is just as gorgeous (actually more) than her pic. Produced by (but not like) Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. This is made for having a luxurious foamy long bath to.
6 1 Boards Of Canada - Reach For The Dead (2 weeks; peak #1) 7 NEW Charli XCX - Take My Hand VIDEO
Hopefully this will be a single after I Love It is finally a UK hit. Her best single since Nuclear Seasons. Video references Nirvana's Teen Spirit.
8 5 Kids In Glass Houses - Drive (2 weeks; peak #5) 9 NEW Marnie - The Hunter VIDEO (contains flashing imagery)
Helen Marnie from Ladytron releases a solo album (though Daniel Hunt from the group is producing it).
10 NEW Gary Numan - I Am Dust AUDIO His best single in years.
11 11 The 1975 - The City (2 weeks; peak #11) 12 NEW The Weeknd - Kiss Land AUDIO (adult content) First entry on my chart for him.
13 NEW Chvrches - Gun AUDIO NOT a cover of Serebro!
14 NEW Jaqcues Greene with How To Dress Well - On Your Side AUDIO Chillout urban dance.
15 3 Seasick Steve - Down On The Farm (5 weeks; peak #1) 16 NEW Tricky with Francesca Belmonte - Does It? VIDEO Samples The Ropes.
17 NEW Kanye West - New Slaves VIDEO (outside broadcast - shot on phone) (explicit lyrics) This actually sits well against Tricky! Very dark, very provocative. Was premiered around the world projected onto walls on various outside locations. There's also a better quality Saturday Night Live reenactment but it's highly censored and loses the message.
18 6 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (6 weeks; peak #1) 19 NEW Bebe Black - Never Forget VIDEO This is BIG! The dance sound of her Benga track combines with the Florence style of her own previous single.
20 7 Miss Kittin - Come Into My House / Bassline (6 weeks; peak #2) 21 NEW The Ropes - Black All Day, Bright All Night VIDEO I loved this group back in 2007/8 when they were more poppy - Kill Her Off is stunning but they disowned the early stuff. Now they're like a more sedate Kills.
22 16 Prince Innocence - Golden Hour (5 weeks; peak #14) 23 NEW Solange with Kendrick Lamar - Looks Good With Trouble AUDIO 24 38 Foxes - Beauty Queen (7 weeks; peak #5) 25 8 Man Without Machines - Something's Happening Here (6 weeks; peak #3) 26 2 Steve Taylor - Meltdown (At Madame Tussaud's) (2 weeks; peak #2) 27 17 Ellie Goulding and Madeon - Stay Awake (4 weeks; peak #12) 28 12 Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was Us (11 weeks; peak #1) 29 14 Say Lou Lou - Julian (6 weeks; peak #5) 30 NEW Dinosaur Pile-Up - Derail VIDEO
Diana Vickers is the main star of the video in a proper acting role. So watch it! They're a Leeds rock band - once grungy and quite good when they first broke, now sounding a bit Silversun Pickups and not so grunge.
31 10 Filter - What Do You Say? (3 weeks; peak #10) 32 13 Dido - End Of Night (12 weeks; peak #3) 33 23 Selena Gomez - Come and Get It (4 weeks; peak #23) 34 18 Nero - Into The Past (6 weeks; peak #9) 35 NEW Icona Pop - Girlfriend AUDIO Their new Swedish single ,they've already moved on from the (still unreleased in UK) debut album. Their first single i liked since Manners (I love It is vastly over-rated). It's about friendship, not lesbianism.
36 9 Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me (5 weeks; peak #9) 37 4 Steve Taylor - I Blew Up The Clinic Real Good (2 weeks; peak #4) 38 NEW Lindsay Stirling - Elements VIDEO The only track i like from the dancefloor violinist from America's Got Talent whose album had a UK release this week.
39 NEW Thea Gilmore - Start As We Mean To Go On VIDEO 40 19 Shystie - Scumbag (4 weeks; peak #5) 41 21 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Mermaids (5 weeks; peak #13) 42 20 Anouk - Birds (3 weeks; peak #13) 43 22 Cousin Marnie - Never Let The Devil Get The Upper Hand (6 weeks; peak #7) 44 NEW Yasmine Hamdan - Samar VIDEO Paris-based Lebanese singer who performed this on Jools Holland recently. I should have charted it last week but thought it wasn't a single anywhere.
45 24 Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (5 weeks; peak #21) 46 28 Blake Shelton with Pistol Annies and Friends - Boys 'Round Here (3 weeks; peak #28) 47 NEW Heart - Dear Old America OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO 48 25 M83 with Susanne Sundfor - Oblivion (8 weeks; peak #2) 49 31 Kacey Musgraves - Blowin' Smoke (6 weeks; peak #22) 50 35 Deap Vally - Baby I Call Hell (5 weeks; peak #18) 51 36 Deftones - Swerve City (4 weeks; peak #20) 52 29 Abbe May - T.R.O.U.B.L.E. (2 weeks; peak #29) 53 33 Miss Kittin - Life Is My Teacher (6 weeks; peak #13) 54 34 Wendy James - You're So Great (6 weeks; peak #9) 55 RE Heart - Fanatic (6 weeks; peak #17) 56 26 Roberto Bellarosa - Love Kills (5 weeks; peak #23) 57 30 Abbe May - Karmageddon (2 weeks; peak #30) 58 46 Demi Lovato - Heart Attack (2 weeks; peak #46) 59 NEW Lucy Spraggan - Lighthouse VIDEO 60 37 Olafur Arnalds - Only The Winds (4 weeks; peak #19) 61 39 Krause - Human (3 weeks; peak #39) 62 44 Visage - Shameless Fashion (5 weeks; peak #44) 63 40 Abbe May - Sex Tourettes (2 weeks; peak #40) 64 45 Charli XCX - What I Like (9 weeks; peak #10) 65 32 Kid Cudi - King Wizard (7 weeks; peak #4)

MY ALBUM CHART FOR JUNE 2nd 2013:
A record 80 new entries this week as i trek through 1986 and a few remaining ones from 85 and surrounding years!
1 NEW Juluka - Scatterlings DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM This is a recent South African reissue and not the 1983 UK tracklisting. Bonus UK release track: AUDIO I was listening to Paul Simon's Graceland and looking on Wiki when i was reminded of this great South African group led by Brit-born Johnny Clegg (Simon credits him as an inspiration on the album). Released there in 82 and in UK in 83 it cracked the UK top 50 and the title song Scatterlings Of Africa was also a top 50 hit. This is tremendously vibrant, inspiring stuff and i wish i had listened a few weeks ago so i could have voted it into the 80's list. The message of the album and song is that we all as humans originated from Africa so anyone who practices racism is ignorant or in denial of the facts. The only reason most of us aren't black is because we didn't evolve that way because we didn't originally need to (tracing our ancestral lines back).
2 NEW Skinny Puppy - Bites
SPOTIFY STREAM Their second album from 1985. Features the anthem Assimilate.
3 NEW LL Cool J - Radio
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Groundbreaking rap album from 1985. The production by Rick Rubin is the masterstroke, improving what he started on Run-DMC. One of the best rap albums i've ever heard.
4 NEW ZZ Top - Afterburner
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Wasn't expecting this to be better than Eliminator but it is!
5 NEW The Blue Nile - High
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The only album of theirs i hadn't heard, having been put off by album three and this album's underwhelming single. Turns out it's far better than the third album.
6 NEW Chris Rea - On The Beach
YOUTUBE STREAM / Bonus tracks: Crack That Mould / Freeway / Bless Them All Just quality relaxing soft rock. Sadly, not many of his albums can be streamed and i can't find 1987's Dancing With Strangers. The title track was later a big hit when it was reworked.
7 NEW Timbuk 3 - Greetings From Timbuk 3
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Remember that hit The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades? This album is far better than a one-hit wonder's album has any right to be. On REM's label IRS Records, it's full of the same wry humour and social commentary that the husband and wife dup specialised in.
8 NEW Public Image Ltd. - Album
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM Also known as Cassette, Compact Disc and MP3, originally from 1986, this album put PiL back on the map with the big hit Rise. It wasn't publicised at the time but the musicians backing Lydon featured the most unlikely combination: producer Bill Laswell assembled material gathered from metal guitarist Steve Vai, drummers Ginger Baker (Cream) and Tony Williams (Miles Davis) and keyboardist Ryuichi Sakamoto. The tracks were made and Lydon laid his lyrics over them. The result is an avant-garde metal album, not what you would expect but not a million miles away from the acclaimed experimental Metal Box.
9 NEW Robert Palmer - Riptide
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 10 NEW Billy Bragg - Talking With The Taxman About Poetry
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM 11 NEW Ministry - Twitch
DEEZER STREAM SPOTIFY STREAM The first industrial set from Al and co..
12 NEW Simple Minds - Once Upon A Time DEEZER STREAM 13 NEW Skinny Puppy - Mind: The Perpetual Intercourse SPOTIFY STREAM Third album from 86. In this case, Ministry bested them.
14 NEW Johnny Clegg and Savuka - Third World Child DEEZER STREAM After Juluka split, Clegg formed Savuka and his name began to be part of the main credit. From 1987, this album features a rerecording of Scatterlings which was a minor hit for a second time and was on the Rain Man soundtrack.
15 NEW Run-DMC - Raising Hell DEEZER STREAM Walk This Way... Their first album is better though it's a step up from the second.
16 NEW Cameo - Word Up! DEEZER STREAM 17 NEW Luther Vandross - Give Me The Reason DEEZER STREAM 18 NEW The Waterboys - This Is The Sea DEEZER STREAM 19 NEW Pet Shop Boys - Please SPOTIFY STREAM 20 NEW Salt 'N' Pepa - Hot, Cool and Vicious DEEZER STREAM 21 NEW Janet Jackson - Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 22 NEW Beastie Boys - Licensed To Ill 23 NEW Duran Duran - Notorious Actually the best album of theirs i've heard (which includes the first three, Big Thing and the last couple) - for once, no fillers.
24 NEW The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy and The Lash 25 NEW ABC - How To Be A... Millionaire! 26 NEW Brian Eno - Thursday Afternoon 27 NEW Heart - Fanatic 2012, the highest placed current album!
28 NEW Ozzy Osbourne - The Ultimate Sin 29 1 Skinny Puppy - Remission (2 weeks; peak #1) 30 NEW Sigue Sigue Sputnik - Flaunt It 31 NEW Tom Waits - Rain Dogs Features Downtown Train, later covered by Rod Stewart.
32 NEW Janet Jackson - Control 33 3 Visage - Hearts and Knives (2 weeks; peak #3) 34 NEW Diamanda Galas - The Divine Punishment Not for the faint-hearted, the first of her AIDS trilogy. I'd heard her before and ran for the hills but this ultimately won me over.
35 NEW Lone Justice - Lone Justice Maria McKee's debut was with this rootsy country rock band.
36 NEW Paul Simon - Graceland 37 NEW Queen - A Kind Of Magic I love the Highlander ballad Who Wants To Live Forever? but only half the albums works as an actual soundtrack.
38 NEW Pat Benatar - Seven The Hard Way 39 NEW Tricky - False Idols New album. Not quite up there with Maxinquaye but the best i've heard since 96 (i have yet to listen in full to post 96 albums).
40 NEW Jean Michel Jarre - Rendez-Vous Fourth Rendez-Vous is a masterpiece but the rest can't match it.
41 NEW Grace Jones - Slave To The Rhythm 42 NEW Crowded House - Crowded House 43 NEW Heart - Heart 44 NEW Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party Danny Elfman's 80's synth band, features the Weird Science theme.
45 NEW Prefab Sprout - Steve McQueen 46 NEW Feargal Sharkey - Feargal Sharkey 47 NEW Roxette - Pearls Of Passion 48 NEW A-ha - Scoundrel Days 49 NEW The Cult - Love 50 NEW Skinny Puppy - HanDover 2011 album, follows the one i own - Mythmaker. This is not as good, though - nor is the brand new album, a bit lower down...
51 NEW Half Man Half Biscuit - Back In The DHSS 52 NEW Howard Jones - Dream Into Action 53 NEW Skinny Puppy - Weapon New album.
54 NEW Belinda Carlisle - Belinda 55 NEW Genesis - Invisible Touch 56 NEW Lone Justice - Shelter 57 NEW Pat Benatar - Tropico 58 6 Killing Joke - Night Time (2 weeks; peak #6) 59 NEW The Ropes - Post-Entertainment 60 10 Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (2 weeks; peak #10) 61 NEW OMD - The Pacific Age 62 NEW New Order - Brotherhood 63 NEW The Blow Monkeys - Animal Magic 64 8 Steve Taylor - I Predict 1990 (2 weeks; peak #8) 65 NEW Cyndi Lauper - True Colors 66 NEW Diamanda Galas - Saint Of The Pit Her second album of 86 and second of the AIDS trilogy. More operatic, may be easier on some ears, not mine - i hate opera.
67 NEW The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead 68 7 Brian Eno - Ambient 4: On Land (4 weeks; peak #1) 69 NEW The Moody Blues - The Other Side Of Life They went synth pop for this 1986 album (which is why i checked it) and scored a big US hit with one of the songs.
70 NEW Laura Marling - Once I Was An Eagle The new album.
71 NEW Thompson Twins - Here's To Future Days 72 NEW Alice Cooper - Constrictor From 86, his first true metal album.
73 NEW Prince Innocence - Lapse (mini-album) 74 NEW REM - Life's Rich Pageant 75 53 Amy Grant - How Mercy Looks From Here (2 weeks; peak #53) Poor Amy (CCM legend) would have climbed to #7 if no new entries had got in her way! This is half a great album, if you skip the dull first four tracks (yes, Sheryl Crow's involvement is not terribly exciting).
76 9 Daft Punk - Discovery (2 weeks; peak #9) 77 NEW The Art Of Noise - In Visible Silence Features Peter Gunn but after Horn and Morley left (on the two classic first albums i own) it got a bit samey for Anne Dudley and Co.
78 NEW Europe - The Final Countdown 79 NEW Sonic Youth - EVOL 80 47 Bo Bruce - Before I Sleep (5 weeks; peak #1) I listened to Voice winner Leanne Mitchell's album (a huge flop so far) and i found it incredibly dull and unspectacular.
81 5 Billy Bragg - Brewing Up With Billy Bragg (2 weeks; peak #5) 82 11 Abbe May - Kiss My Apocalypse (2 weeks; peak #11) 83 4 Nik Kershaw - Human Racing (2 weeks; peak #4) 84 2 Alison Moyet - Alf (2 weeks; peak #2)  Give me a proper stream and not a scrawny YouTube link and i might listen to it more!
85 NEW Loreen - Heal 86 NEW Texas - The Conversation New album - has a few good Pretenders-esque rockers.
87 NEW Big Country - The Seer Kate Bush is on the title track - not that you can tell.
88 NEW Alice In Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here Great title (a thorn in the side of any right-minded Christian who believes in evolution) and great title track.
89 NEW Five Star - Silk and Steel 90 NEW Van Halen - 5150 91 NEW The Dream Academy - The Dream Academy 92 NEW Stooshe - London With The Lights On So sad that this urban pop trio have had all their uniqueness and all the adult element squeezed out of them. No F*ck Me or Betty Woz Gone on the album?? Not even an "explicit" version of the album that they can keep away from "the kids"? They're just Little Mix with an eye on Sande. I refer you to Salt 'N' Pepa at #20.
93 NEW The Human League - Crash  Teaming up with Jam and Lewis was not the greatest idea, the lovely Human notwithstanding.
94 13 Fad Gadget - Gag (2 weeks; peak #13) 95 18 Steve Taylor - Meltdown (2 weeks; peak #18) 96 19 Steve Taylor - On The Fritz (2 weeks; peak #19) 97 24 The Waterboys - A Pagan Place (3 weeks; peak #3) 98 33 The The - Soul Mining (3 weeks; peak #4) 99 44 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (6 weeks; peak #1) 100 12 Bronski Beat - The Age Of Consent (2 weeks; peak #12)

MY CHART for JUNE 9th 2013:
1 NEW Book Of Love - Boy VIDEO "I wanna be where the boys are but i'm not allowed". I discovered this pop gem through someone else's nomination for the UKMix 1986 album vote. I had heard of them before but had not heard this - their cult classic from 1985. The group supported Depeche Mode in 85/86 and had several Dance Chart hits in the US but never broke huge. Their debut album is fantastic stuff - almost as revelatory to me as Missing Persons' first two albums. Their songs have been heard in the films Planes, Trains and Automobiles and The Silence Of The Lambs (keyboardist Laura Roselli - the babe on the left of pic - had a small role in Lambs). I love the deadpan style of vocalist Susan Ottavanio - it's a bit Flying Lizards, a bit Waitresses. And the whole band are wonderful geeks making glorious awkward genius synth pop!
This song is about a girl being denied entry to a gay club and the video posted is ultra rare and was only shown in Europe. It was only posted in December which is why i never saw it before and wasn't hooked.
Poor unlucky Banks has to settle for...
2 5 Banks - Warm Water VIDEO (2 weeks; PEAK)
Radio needs to push this.
3 NEW MIsstress Barbara - Dance Me To The End Of Love AUDIO / LIVE VIDEO
Discovered this Italian-born Canadian DJ / singer through Classic Pop magazine - it's a cover of Leonard Cohen's song from 1984 (same album that Hallelujah was on). It retains the darkness and mystery of the original and actually sounds similar to the Disclosure/ Ware track that is around. George (Grybop) from UKMix tells me this was big on Greek radio in 2009. Wow - let's all move to Greece! Her recent singles are rather soft and poppy - hence why CP have featured her.
4 7 Charli XCX - Take My Hand VIDEO (2 weeks; peak #4)
eeek! What happened to my top 3?? 5 1 Belinda Carlisle - Sun (2 weeks; peak #1) 6 3 Diana Vickers - Cinderella (7 weeks; peak #3) 7 2 Agnetha Faltskog - Dance Your Pain Away (2 weeks; peak #2) 8 NEW White Lies - Getting Even AUDIO Free download single - previews new album BIg TV. It's basically mid-80's Simple Minds.
9 4 Bright Light Bright Light - Moves (4 weeks; peak #8) 10 6 Boards Of Canada - Reach For The Dead (3 weeks; peak #1) 11 NEW Disclosure with Jessie Ware - Confess To Me LIVE TV CLIP Others might not think so but this to me is the second best song on their album after White Noise.
12 NEW Jon Hopkins - Open Eye Signal VIDEO More progressive dance music - from a collaborator with Coldplay and a soundtrack artist (he did cult sci-fi film Monsters). This is exceptional instrumental dance - sadly the rest of his album is not as great.
13 8 Kids In Glass Houses - Drive (3 weeks; peak #5) 14 9 Marnie - The Hunter (2 weeks; peak #9) 15 10 Gary Numan - I Am Dust (2 weeks; peak #10) 16 11 The 1975 - The City (3 weeks; peak #11) 17 13 Chvrches - Gun (2 weeks; peak #13) 18 16 Tricky with Francesca Belmonte - Does It? (2 weeks; peak #16) 19 12 The Weeknd - Kiss Land (2 weeks; peak #12) 20 31 Filter - What Do You Say? VIDEO (contains violence) (4 weeks; peak #10) 21 14 Jaqcues Greene with How To Dress Well - On Your Side VIDEO (2 weeks; peak #14) 22 RE Carrie Underwood - See You Again VIDEO (6 weeks; peak #16) 23 NEW Yelle - A+B=C VIDEO A video to tide us over while they finish the new album. A cover of a French song.
24 19 Bebe Black - Never Forget (2 weeks; peak #19) 25 22 Prince Innocence - Golden Hour (6 weeks; peak #14) 26 NEW Alison Moyet - Love Reign Supreme VIDEO 27 NEW Azure Blue - Willows and Pines AUDIO Synth pop.
28 NEW Filter - We Hate It When You Get What You Want AUDIO 29 NEW Ellie Goulding - Tessellate VIDEO Video only cover of Alt-J (#52 on my chart). She's wearing an outfit similar to this one:
30 NEW Kate Miller-Heidke - Ride This Feeling VIDEO 31 RE Goat - DreamBuilding VIDEO / NEW StoneGoat VIDEO (3 weeks; PEAK) 32 NEW AlunaGeorge - Just A Touch VIDEO Belated entry from 2012.
33 21 The Ropes - Black All Day, Bright All Night (2 weeks; peak #21) 34 RE Billy Bragg - Handyman Blues VIDEO (5 weeks; peak #32) Video directed by Johnny Vegas, features Vegas, Stewart Lee, Kevin Eldon, Phill Jupitus, Samuel West, Neil Morrissey, Ricky Grover and Ross Noble.
35 33 Selena Gomez - Come and Get It (5 weeks; peak #23) 36 15 Seasick Steve - Down On The Farm (6 weeks; peak #1) 37 NEW Nine Inch Nails - Came Back Haunted AUDIO Free download single, album preview. Not classic NIN, more like HTDA.
38 NEW Vince Kidd - The Zoo AUDIO (with Shystie) / VIDEO (with Vanessa White) Third place on last year's The Voice UK - his first entry on my chart. Quite why The Saturdays girl is in the video but rapper Shystie replaces her on the actual release is a mystery but the Shystie version is better, anyway.
39 NEW Low Tide Theory - Time Will Tell AUDIO Synth pop.
40 24 Foxes - Beauty Queen (8 weeks; peak #5) 41 17 Kanye West - New Slaves (2 weeks; peak #17) 42 NEW Disclosure - When A Fire Starts To Burn VIDEO 43 18 Low Sea - Remote Viewing (7 weeks; peak #1) 44 20 Miss Kittin - Come Into My House / Bassline (7 weeks; peak #2) 45 25 Man Without Machines - Something's Happening Here (7 weeks; peak #3) 46 28 Jessie Ware - Imagine It Was Us (12 weeks; peak #1) 47 30 Dinosaur Pile-Up - Derail (2 weeks; peak #30) 48 27 Ellie Goulding and Madeon - Stay Awake (5 weeks; peak #12) 49 NEW Banks - Fall Over VIDEO 50 29 Say Lou Lou - Julian (7 weeks; peak #5) 51 23 Solange with Kendrick Lamar - Looks Good With Trouble (2 weeks; peak #23) 52 32 Dido - End Of Night (13 weeks; peak #3) 53 35 Icona Pop - Girlfriend (2 weeks; peak #35) 54 46 Blake Shelton with Pistol Annies and Friends - Boys 'Round Here (4 weeks; peak #28) 55 26 Steve Taylor - Meltdown (At Madame Tussaud's) (3 weeks; peak #2) 56 49 Kacey Musgraves - Blowin' Smoke (7 weeks; peak #22) 57 34 Nero - Into The Past (7 weeks; peak #9) 58 40 Shystie - Scumbag (5 weeks; peak #5) 59 36 Krista Siegfrids - Marry Me (6 weeks; peak #9) 60 RE Disclosure with AlunaGeorge - White Noise (7 weeks; peak #7) 61 RE Iamamiwhoami - John (10 weeks; peak #8) 62 NEW Leah McFall - I Will Survive LIVE TV CLIP The BBC has now taken the sensible step of making all songs in the live shows available and viewable on iTunes (though it's only live versions not longer studio versions like the other Voice shows). Which should ensure a situation like Leanne Mitchell barely charting on any top 200 will not happen. This girl is amazing - a new Cyndi Lauper and then some. This is not her best song to get but what she does with it is tremendous.
63 38 Lindsay Stirling - Elements (2 weeks; peak #38) 64 50 Deap Vally - Baby I Call Hell (6 weeks; peak #18) 65 NEW Denature - Time VIDEO I know someone who knows the director of this video! Alt-pop.
66 39 Thea Gilmore - Start As We Mean To Go On (2 weeks; peak #39) 67 44 Yasmine Hamdan - Samar (2 weeks; peak #44) 68 RE Disclosure with Eliza Doolittle - You and Me (4 weeks; peak #55) 69 37 Steve Taylor - I Blew Up The Clinic Real Good (3 weeks; peak #4) 70 41 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Mermaids (6 weeks; peak #13) 71 42 Anouk - Birds (4 weeks; peak #13) 72 43 Cousin Marnie - Never Let The Devil Get The Upper Hand (7 weeks; peak #7) 73 45 Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (6 weeks; peak #21) 74 48 M83 with Susanne Sundfor - Oblivion (9 weeks; peak #2) 75 51 Deftones - Swerve City (5 weeks; peak #20)
I'll post the album chart on Monday or Tuesday when i've listened to everything from 1987!

4. Eurythmics - Savage DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 5. Dead Can Dance - Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun SPOTIFY STREAM 6. Michael Jackson - Bad 7. Fleetwood Mac - Tango In The Night 8. Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing 9. Wire - The Ideal Copy (very late edit as i only just added this at 4:56 - i thought i had a full list till now. This should be very high on next week's chart)
10. Various Artists - The Lost Boys (OST) 11. Robbie Robertson - Robbie Robertson (features Peter Gabriel and U2 and the amazing Somewhere Down The Crazy River - i have no interest in The Band, i always loved that song so checked this out)

-----------
MY ALBUM CHART for 16th JUNE 2013:
1 NEW Boards Of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest Biggest ambient album in 21 years! No streams.
2 NEW Wire - The Ideal Copy
DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM
3 NEW The KLF - Chill Out
YOUTUBE STREAM The term "chillout" didn't exist until this seminal 1990 album. It's sad that none of their albums (or any music bar two tracks on a compilation) are available to download or in print. This would be the only time i would encourage using a video download tool. You've got to grab them before they're removed.
4 NEW Martini Ranch - Holy Cow
DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM It's looking like a farm or a zoo round here! Features not only Bill Paxton but Cindy Wilson of The B-52's and members of Devo throughout.
5 NEW Timbuk 3 - Eden Alley
DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM ...And this duo had a donkey on the previous sleeve!
6 NEW Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
YOU TUBE PLAYLIST STREAM (most of the album) Probably the most acclaimed rap album of all time.
7 NEW The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu - Who Killed The JAMs?
FULL ALBUM FOUND HERE So Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty released their debut album in 87 (see last week) and were forced to withdraw and destroy it after ABBA took exception to an uncleared sample. This album shows the burning of said remaining copies on the sleeve shots and was quickly recorded in order to recompense lost money. It's a much more satisfying example of their sample-heavy cut and paste early work.
8 NEW Wire - A Bell Is A Cup... Until It Is Struck
DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 9 1 Book Of Love - Book Of Love (2 weeks; peak #1) 10 2 Robbie Robertson - Robbie Robertson (2 weeks; peak #2) 11 NEW Soundgarden - Ultramega OK DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 12 NEW Eric B and Rakim - Follow The Leader DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 13 NEW Ministry - The Land Of Rape and Honey DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 14 NEW Front 242 - Front By Front DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 15 NEW Happy Mondays - Bummed DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM ^Streams feature Madchester: Rave On EP tracks and other single mixes and b-sides.
16 NEW Ciccone Youth (Sonic Youth and Mike Watt) - The Whitey Album DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM Sonic Youth side project started in 86 with a cover of Madonna's Into The Groove and was followed with this 88 album (released 89 in UK). With covers of Madge's Burnin' Up and Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love among the experimental industrial dance sound of the album this is far better than any of their regular 80's albums with their indie/garage rock, even the acclaimed Daydream Nation which debuts lower down on the chart.
17 NEW Mogwai - Les Revenants (TV OST - The Returned) DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM From the hit French zombie TV series, now showing in UK as The Returned.
18 5 Sinead O'Connor - The Lion and The Cobra (2 weeks; peak #5) 19 NEW The Waterboys - Fisherman's Blues DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM Their biggest album but i prefer their big epic sound that got them known. Scott is releasing another collector's edition of this later this year with a further 85 unreleased songs!
20 NEW Living Colour - Vivid DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM A shame that US went off them (or rather US radio) after this. Their 93 album Stain (the only one i own) is brilliant and much better than this.
21 NEW A-ha - Stay On These Roads DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM 22 NEW All About Eve - All About Eve DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM I love their singles and own a collection album. This album is too long.
23 NEW The Pogues - If I Should Fall From Grace With God DEEZER STREAM / SPOTIFY STREAM Like The Waterboys, i preferred their earlier music before they included other areas of folk music, taking them away from their roots.
24 NEW Run-DMC - Tougher Than Leather 25 NEW Skinny Puppy - VIVI Sect VI 26 6 Filter - The Sun Comes Out Tonight (2 weeks; peak #6) 27 NEW Front Line Assembly - State Of Mind 28 4 Juluka - Scatterlings (3 weeks; peak #1) 29 NEW REM - Green 30 NEW Tracy Chapman - Tracy Chapman 31 NEW Kt Tunstall - Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon 32 NEW The Fall - The Frenz Experiment 33 NEW Charles Bradley with The Menahan Street Band - No Time For Dreaming 34 NEW Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime 35 NEW Jane Wiedlin - Jane Wiedlin 36 NEW Charles Bradley with The Menahan Street Band - Victim Of Love 37 NEW Paula Abdul - Forever Your Girl 38 NEW Ozzy Osbourne - No Rest For The Wicked 39 7 Napalm Death - Scum (2 weeks; peak #7) 40 NEW My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything 41 NEW Megadeth - So Far, So Good... So What! 42 NEW Billy Bragg - Workers Playtime 43 NEW Steve Earle - Copperhead Road 44 NEW Diamanda Gagas - You Must Be Certain Of The Devil 45 NEW The Proclaimers - Sunshine On Leith 46 NEW Danzig - Danzig 47 NEW Killing Joke - Outside The Gate 48 NEW My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits 49 NEW Yello - One Second 50 NEW Kylie Minogue - Kylie 51 NEW Tangerine Dream - The Angel Of The West Window 52 NEW Julian Cope - My Nation Underground 53 3 The The - Infected (2 weeks; peak #3) 54 8 Alison Moyet - Raindancing (2 weeks; peak #8) 55 NEW Prefab Sprout - From Langley Park To Memphis 56 NEW The Proclaimers - This Is The Story 57 NEW The House Of Love - The House Of Love (1988) 58 NEW Sade - Stronger Than Pride 59 NEW Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation 60 NEW The Mission - Children 61 NEW Bobby Brown - Don't Be Cruel 62 NEW Crowded House - Temple Of Low Men 63 NEW Rick Astley - Hold Me In Your Arms 64 NEW Pixies - Surfer Rosa 65 NEW Spear Of Destiny - Outland 66 NEW The Moody Blues - Sur La Mer 67 NEW Robert Palmer - Heavy Nova 68 NEW Anthrax - State Of Euphoria 69 NEW Yello - Flag 70 NEW Johnny Hates Jazz - Turn Back The Clock 71 NEW Jean Michel Jarre - Revolutions 72 NEW Ice-T - Power 73 NEW Bros - Push 74 NEW T'Pau - Rage 75 NEW Robert Plant - Now and Zen 76 NEW Thomas Dolby - Aliens Ate My Buick 77 NEW Jane Wiedlin - Fur 78 NEW Information Society - Information Society 79 NEW Zodiac Mindwarp and The Love Reaction - Tattooed Beat Messiah 80 9 The Sisters Of Mercy - Floodland (2 weeks; peak #9)
81 NEW Taylor Dayne - Tell It To My Heart

Been looking through this - we had one big hit in common earlier this year, you had Hefner and #3 and I had them at #1 in April. I also noted you were charting Polly Scattergood and Lisa Mitchell, who both had #1s in my chart in 2009.
