Hi, guys. For the past five years, Azanorak has provided a volunteer-run
'Listen Again' service for Radio Caroline, archiving every show, every day.
More recently, we added other stations, doing the same for Radio Seagull, RNI
and selected shows on other stations. However, I have today received legal
advice here in the U.S., regarding this service. The bottom line is that we
have to stop using Azanorak to provide such "Listen Again" recordings.
Consequently, no new shows will now be posted to Azanorak, except for archive
recordings of historical interest from the offshore era, pre-1991. In other
words, Azanorak will return to its original purpose, when it was first set up by
Jim Nantz. The 'Listen Again' shows already on the server will be deleted later
this week.
I personally want to thank all the members of the recording team who have helped
us over the years, including Theo Bakker, Roland Beaney, Steve Burke, Jerry
Cursons, Alan Sheead, and Charles van Doornewaard. Roland and Alan in
particular do a huge amount behind the scenes, and have worked hard to sustain
this service every day. I couldn't have done it without them!
If you want to continue to record certain shows for personal use, it's really
pretty easy these days. There are software recommendations and links to station
webcast streams on the Azanorak website, here: www.azanorak.com/current" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
