Verses have a horrid melody, the bridge is marginally better, the chorus has a very unsatisfying tune that doesnt do what you want it to do. Jimmy Sommerville's 'Heartbeat'. Shot on what looks like a building site.

A rather downbeat performance from Jimmy Nail, huskily working his way through 'Cowboy Dreams'.

Not that forgotten I hope, but still an example of a great piece of pop music. Boo Radleys 'Wake Up Boo'

Pop! 'Heaven And Earth'
Look out for the guy doing the overly exaggerated camp head flick at seven seconds in and the contrived dancing.

I would suggest it was every other Boo Radleys hit that were the forgotten ones - I hadn't made up my mind which one to post though.
Years ago I posted 'Lazarus' in the Lost Tracks thread, but as it didn't make the Top 40 I don't suppose I can put it here.

Back to 34 years ago, this wonderful song made number 36 in September 1979.

Here's Lutricia McNeal's 3rd top 10 hit, which I never hear on the radio anymore.

Stephen Gately's 3rd and final solo hit, my favourite of his. Much better than the album version.

I LOVE this! This was the 3rd top 10 hit for S'Xpress. Who is the female presenter?

Going back one year to 1978, this was a considered something of a disco classic at the time but is almost forgotten now though personally I thought it was awful! The singer went on to marry Patrick Hernandez, of 'Born To Be Alive' fame. At least she didn't have to change too much of her surname! As I didn't like the song I think the video is suitably awful too!
Luisa Fernandez - Lay Love On You (#31, December 1978)

Two songs from the 1980s which were one hit wonders which you never hear or see on Radio & Video music channels:
A Dutch #1 from 1983 which reached UK #12 in 1984.
and this New Wave pop rock track that reached UK #21 early in 1981:

I LOVE this! This was the 3rd top 10 hit for S'Xpress. Who is the female presenter? A lady called Susie Mathis. She only ever presented TOTP on 2 occasions. She had been the lead singer, with the stage name 'Tiger', of the Paper Dolls who reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart with "Something Here in My Heart (Keeps A-Tellin' Me No)"

Was Mark E. Smith appearing on TOTP going to be anything but brilliantly shambolic?

As another little bonus, here he is reading the football results on Final Score:

The Sparks come back single in 1994, When Do I Get To Sing My Way (#38). Recently re discovered this on one of my old NOW albums. very Pet Shop Boys esque but decent enough and oft forgotten
