An incredibly strong month with great songs running really deep in the top 40. I had 89 songs on my shortlist to whittle it down. Miss June top the chart having previously reached #7 twice last year. Sorry have two songs in the top 4, having reached #3 with 'More' in March. Lanterns On The Lake, Sports Team, Soccer Mommy and Biffy Clyro also make their third appearance of the year, with Porridge Radio narrowly missing out on joining them. The two Doves tracks are from newly-released EPs called 'Remnants' featuring old tracks that were previously unavailable on streaming platforms.

Bad Nerves become the second act this year to reach no.1 after being at no.2 with their previous entry. This Is The Kit also managed the feat. Age is no barrier to success in this chart with A Certain Ratio, the Deftones, the Pixies and Skunk Anansie all featuring, all of whom released their first music before some of the other acts were even born.
