3-1 win for Herne Bay at Rochester Utd on Saturday. Sounds routine away to a struggling step 5 team but at one point they were 2 men and a goal down. Then midway through the 2nd half Rochester had a player sent off, Herne Bay equalised straight away and kicked on from there. First time in the 2nd qualifying round for 8 years and whilst another step 4 team at home (Hastings Utd) isn't an interesting draw it is at least winnable.

Northampton play Coventry in the first round. Some bad blood between them with the stadium share and Northampton almost bust.

Northampton are bust because they took a 12m loan for the new stand, and yet the builders have not been paid, so where's it gone?
Stags got Oldham at home in the cup, pleased with that.

The ties of interest to me, though it's subject to Welling winning their replay. Shame that Maidenhead didn't get Port Vale at home, but would rather they had a league team away than non-league, tbh just pleased to see them in the first round. Can see the ties at Salford and Didcot being picked for TV. Great draw for Dover, at home against a side two divisions lower, not easy for Gillingham but would like to think they'd progress. Maidstone will be pleased with their draw as well.

Maidstone have got a real chance to win there! BBC Radio Kent had some guy on their breakfast show this morning, think he was an author who'd written books on the FA Cup, and he said the same thing. He did rein himself in a bit at the end but he sounded confident there would be an upset there. |

Didcot v Exeter on the sunday at midday.
FC United v Cheaterfield on the Monday night.
And also they have to move over the games for their sunday final score show, but plenty of non league v league opposition, so I should be off to watch the Stags take on Oldham on the Saturday at 3pm! Nothing to lose!

Absolutely disgraceful performance by Notts, they should be made to walk home. Missed the match and don't even know the score, but the Salford right back Elliot Kebbie did an interview and was absolutely convinced that Salford would win adding that people would be surprised how good they were.
Anyone watch the Class of 92 documentary in the last couple of weeks? Can't remember whether they were mentioned on here last season or not but I didn't realise they won the title last season!

Difficult to say whether Salford have been good because Notts have effectively handed them this game on a plate. They just haven't turned up. Second goal just summoned up the night!

Yes, I saw the documentary over the last couple days. As someone said on Twitter, tonight's third episode was a bit implausible, especially that second goal. Let's hope the second series is more realistic.
