Nostalgia time. What are your top albums from 40 years ago ?
If enough people post a list, we'll be able to determine Haven's favourites.

Do Greatest Hits albums count?

Are we picking albums which were released in 1976 or which simply made the album charts in 1976?
"Fleetwood Mac" for example was recorded and released in 1975.

"Fleetwood Mac" for example was recorded and released in 1975. It took until November 1976 to chart in the UK, and that's why I included it in my 1976 list.

Do Greatest Hits albums count? I don't include them, but there's no reason why you shouldn't.

Thinking about it, I suppose if you did include Greatest Hits packages you'd have to consider how well they represented the catalogue they were compiled from. I think Changesonebowie might fail that test for me.

I got Arrival in 1977 and A Day At The Races much later on but thought it was a 1977 album too, I knew Songs In The Key Of Life was 1965. I know "I'm Mandy Fly Me" was on a 1975 album so How Dare You must be the album with "The Things We Do For Love" and "Good Morning Judge" when Godley & Creme had left.
When I've finished retro singles charts I may start checking out classic albums. I know some have already pretty much abandoned finding current music to check out on historical classic rock and pop.
