Glad Billy Connolly got the Special Recognition award.
I couldnt believe how frail he looked though.
How Eastenders got the best serial is beyond me as I feel it has been p*ss-poor.

I only watched one of those winners last year - Peter Kaye's Car Share.
Presumably these are awards voted for by the public, rather than chosen by industry insiders or television critics. Populism wins over originality or risk-taking.

From what I saw and heard of Doctor Foster, it was a big let down, something that could have been tied up much quicker and dragged out, and obvious ending.
