Judd Trump won the European Masters in Bucharest. 9-8.
Gutted for Ronnie as I'm a massive fan.
But thankfully the English Open starts tomorrow, so very little time for me to dwell and mope.
Ronnie starts on Tuesday.

Thanks for the update. Been meaning to do a catchup post on this but haven't had time.
The tournaments are coming thick and fast at the moment. English Open starting tomorrow, then the International Championship in a couple of weeks. Barry Hearn's keeping them busy this season.

Liang Wenbo has won the English Open, beating Judd Trump 9-6 in the final. It's his first ranking title after two previous final defeats and takes him back into the top 16 in the world rankings. Trump's loss means he misses the chance to move up to #2.

Trump's loss means he misses the chance to move up to #2. I am really pleased for Wenbo. I usually want the English to win but not as it was Judd. I am still sore he beat Ronnie last week and in turn stopped him from going 2nd on the all time list of ranking winners. Hopefully only a matter of time before that happens. It is so easy to see how far Wenbo has come since his defeat in the UK Championships last December, when he really did not compete. Ronnie has clearly helped him with the mental side which he needed. I expect Wenbo to win more tournaments now he has his first. I have noticed there is a tournament for every week of November, and more this month and December.

Mark King has won the Northern Ireland Open, beating Barry Hawkins 9-8 in the final. It's the first ranking title in his 25 year career and was his first final since 2004. The victory sees him move up to 22 in the world rankings, having been at 35 at the start of the tournament.
Anthony Hamilton, now ranked 76 in the world, missed out on the final after accidentally touching the cue ball during what would have been a match-winning break in the deciding frame of his semi-final against Hawkins.
The tournament also saw Iran's Hossein Vafaei Ayouri reach the quarter-finals, having never previously been past the last 32 of a ranking event.
This season's jam-packed schedule continues on Tuesday, with the start of the UK Championship, though BBC's coverage doesn't begin until Saturday.

Fantastic week of snooker and a fantastic final.
Really pleased for Mark.
25 years and 319 tournaments.
Surely never a more worthy winner.
Nice to see Ronnie had the most centuries with 6. Now up to 841.
Was so gutted for Anthony last night, but a very good week earnings wise for him and Mark, after both admitted they were skint.
Nice leap for both in rankings too.

Going back to the first post in the thread, the Euro Tour/PTC is no longer, the Riga Masters, Paul Hunter Classic and Gibraltar Open are now regarded as full ranking events in their own right.
Additionally, the Shoot Out is now a ranking event with a 128-player field.

I'm really happy Ronnie won a record breaking 7th Masters😃🏆
Hope he can at least equal Davis and Hendry's Worlds, but I would say he won't, but hope I'm wrong.
