The longest "spans" of wins at the Crucible (i.e. first to last title);
John Higgins, 13 years, (1998-2011) Ronnie O'Sullivan, 12 (2001-2013) Stephen Hendry, 9 (1990-1999) Steve Davis, 8 (1981-1989) Mark Williams, 3 (2000-2003) Mark Selby, 2 (2014-2016)
Have I missed anyone else who has won it more than once?
Ryan Day's Crucible chances looking good now. Only Williams, Maguire and Michael White can overtake him and they would have to win the China Open to push Day out of the top 16.
Meanwhile, Vafaei's great form continues - such a shame his results last season were so poor, otherwise he'd have easily been in the top 64 right now, if not higher. He'll probably have to qualify for the Crucible to get into the top 64 and avoid having to start on zero points next season.
The World Championship qualifiers get underway today. Whilst the top 16 in the world rankings qualify automatically for the Crucible, everyone else has to win 3 matches to get there. However, past tournaments have shown qualifiers can still do well at the Crucible. 7 of the last 12 World Championships have featured at least one qualifier in the semi-finals, with 5 qualifiers reaching the final during that time (Murphy in 2005, Selby in 2007, Dott in 2010, Trump in 2011 and Ding last year).

Wednesday's World Championship qualifying results:
Stuart Carrington 10-2 Alex Borg Andrew Higginson 10-8 Michael Georgiou Tom Ford 10-2 Jamie Bodle Chris Wakelin 10-5 Elliot Slessor Robin Hull 8-10 Reanne Evans Matthew Stevens 8-10 Lee Walker Li Hang 10-9 Fraser Patrick Mike Dunn 10-6 Andy Hicks Mark King 10-4 Paul Davison Zhang Anda 7-10 Fang Xiongman Xiao Guodong 10-2 Tyler Rees
Great win for Reanne Evans against Hull and with Matthew Stevens losing, she has a genuine chance of making the Crucible.
It was a great win for Reanne and she potted some fantastic long shots. Lee Walker next who is beatable, but also still a good player as he showed recently when he beat Neil Robertson on top form. Still a big task for me to win two more matches, but I hope she does it. Would be great to see her at the Crucible first round and much more accessible on TV
