HAVEN COMBI RETRO CHART FOR W/B 11th NOVEMBER 1984
None of Duran Duran’s previous five chart toppers had ever spent just a solitary week at number one, and ‘The Wild Boys’ doesn’t buck that trend as it extends its chart topping run to two weeks, with it reaching number one on four individual charts now.
Limahl gets a second week in the runner up position with ‘The Never Ending Story’ although the gap has widened slightly as Duran Duran pull ahead even more.
Eurythmics are back in the Top 3 for the first time since July 1983 when they hit the top with ‘Who’s That Girl’
as 'Sex Crime' moves up five places.
Nik Kershaw gets this week’s highest new entry as ‘The Riddle’ debuts at number 8. Can this go one better than the number 2 and 3 peaks of ‘Wouldn’t It Be Good’ and ‘I Won’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’
