Impressive 6-0 win for Slough yesterday, and Maidstone causing an upset by winning 4-2 at Cheltenham. I was thinking about would it be good for them to use that to kickstart a genuine promotion push but i'm not sure. As things stand anyone going up to the FL with an artificial pitch would have to replace it with a grass pitch otherwise they'll be relegated from the National League (so basically a drop of 2 divisions) Also applies to Bromley and Sutton who are also in the playoff places, but I think it would impact Maidstone more. They've had their pitch from day 1 when the ground was built, and I don't know about the other 2 but they are now full-time. I've since read an article which came out yesterday actually which says the FL are going to discuss it in the next week, but it won't change anything this season. One of the Maidstone board was interviewed about it in the Non-League paper earlier in the season and it's the relegation rule that he's most bothered about. It's such a stupid and harsh ruling they really need to do something about it. I'm actually hoping that none of those 3 go up this season, and it shouldn't be that way.
Anyway, rant over!

I was hoping for Slough to get a televised home tie and they got Rochdale at home. That must surely be picked!
Mansfield v Guiseley or Accrington. How do you feel about that Andy?
Another home draw for Gillingham, against Carlisle. Maidstone away to MK Dons!

So Stevenage and Fleetwood are our teams now...

They shouldn't be relegated for having a plastic pitch, just leave them out the playoffs, and put the team in below them, the Conference allow them, so how can they relegate them? Pleased with the Guiseley draw as we never beat Accrington, in their new guise! Saying that, I doubt we've ever beat Guiseley either, and they have our manager who got us out the Conference in Paul Cox, so I'm hoping he's welcomed back, and now their assistant is Adam Murray, the manager who replaced Cox before being sacked to let in Steve Evans, how bizarre! And regarding haven's FA Cup teams, both have Home draws, Stevenage take on Swindon and Fleetwood have a revitalised Herford!

They need to get it sorted soon as there's a good chance that all 3 teams will be in the playoffs at the end of the season.

Both still in, with Stevenage deffo in Round 3, as are the Stags after beating dirty, nasty Guiseley 3-0.

Biggest attendance - 5251 Doncaster v Scunthorpe Lowest attendance - 1339 Gateshead v Stevenage
Unless Slough beats the latter...

Could this be the round when Man Utd are not in one of the live games?

Ah well, it was nice while it lasted and nice to dream of playing Manchester City, and very nice of Pep to come and watch the game at the Mill tonight.

Yeah, but 250k from that being on the telly and a full house would also be very nice, but yes I'll take a Top 7/3 finish come May please! Reading and Leicester are now our teams, so Tom will be pleased

I've just put a daft £5 bet on Newcastle to beat Chelsea 3-0 this afternoon... at odds of 175-1! So by 3.15pm I'll either be £875 better off or £5 down!

That is a daft bet! Reading lost to Sheffield Weds, Leicester carry on strongly.
