Snowpiercer "Seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, the remnants of humanity inhabit a perpetually-moving train that circles the globe, where class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out." Such a good cast Jennifer Connelly (The girl from the Bowie film Labyrinth) Alison Wright (The Americans) Iddo Goldberg (Peaky Blinders, Westworld) Mike O'Malley (The Good Place and My Name Is Earl) Sean Bean Susan Park (Fargo and The Good Place) Jonathan Walker (Continuum) Aleks Paunovic (Battlestar Galactica, The 100, Continuum) Steven Ogg (Better Call Saul, Walking Dead and Trevor from GTA V) Stephen Lobo (Continuum and Travelers) Mark Margolis (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) I heard this was nothing like the film of the same name and was intrigued, because I hated the film! Any good? It literally is the worst film I’ve seen, and so much made no sense. I’m willing to give the series a go, as on paper this should appeal - however the film was abysmal.

I'm not really a TV fan unless it involves football. However I had a one month trial of Britbox a couple of months ago and watched the first two series of Doctor Who that featured Tom Baker.
Also UKTV Player had the first few series of The Bill online and I watched some of those.

Finally started watching the new Dracula series on iPlayer.
Very camp and silly but great fun so far. A few things that I wasn't sure about in the first episode but I think it mostly works.

I've started recording that. Is it any good?

I've just started watching Bad Girls from the beginning again. It's the first series I've watched since re-watching all of Orange Is The New Black for a third time. Before that I rewatched every episode of Prisoner: Cell Block H for about the zillionth time.

I've started recording that. Is it any good? I'm the worst one to ask.I thought everyone loved Ride On Time I tuned in knowing nothing about it and being driven to distraction trying to place where I've seen one actress before . Anyway, it's weird, but I usually like weird. I can see why some might find it too daft to bother with. I'm sticking with it for now, though I am famous for liking shows and then giving up on them. It's making me think of a US show (that I better not name 'til you've watched your recording) that I watched as far as midway through season three (of four seasons). I made it through every season of True Blood and Bates Motel before I dropped them with the final two episodes to go. Gave up on Game of Thrones after 5 series, I think. More recently I didn't bother with the final ep of The Luminaries. Not enough Tamwar off Eastenders, far too much of woman with one facial expression, literally this : One long running show that I made it from the very beginning to the very end was Lost. It left me feeling that I wish I'd only watched the pilot ep and no more. Whenever I wonder if a show is worth sticking with, I think of all those wasted hours on Lost and ''I'm not going through that again'', so cut my losses to come babble on Haven instead. Suedehead: ''I've started recording that. Is it any good?'' You were only looking for a simple Yes or No, weren't you ?! Yes ( so far).

Before that I rewatched every episode of Prisoner: Cell Block H for about the zillionth time. I loved Bad Girls. Loathed the two Julies .Both decent actresses, I've seen them in other stuff but couldn't stand them as the Julies. If I'd written it, every time the two of them speak as one, another inmate would beat them with a sock filled with a bar of soap. It went downhill when too many of the greats left it. I've only seen the series once. In my mind Linda Henry (? Shirley in Eastenders) has never changed in looks, but if I saw Bad Girls again now, she probably looks so young. Di was my fav! Aww Cell Block H. I used to be knackered for school, staying up late to watch it. I didn't make it to the end of the series as we moved and it wasn't being shown here . I still have the 7'' single of On The Inside. Orange Is The New Black. I'm watching it now. Loved the first few seasons. I don't know what season I'm on now but I'm this close *squeezes thumb and finger together* to dropping it.

Thanks PurpleCareBear! If you are comparing The Last Wave with an American series then I probably haven't seen it. If it is on Netflix or Sky Atlantic then I definitely haven't seen it so any comparison won't mean much to me. I often enjoy weird series which is why I decided to record this. Les Revenants (the French TV series, not the American film of the same name) was decidedly weird but also very good.

I'd forgotten all about that. Loved season 1 but don't think I saw season 2 in the end! Must see if I can get the DVD.

The last series is one of my favourites - there are lots of little nods to the early days, and surprise appearances from old characters. It also wraps the whole thing up quite nicely at the end.

According to wikipedia, I'm watching Season 6 of OITNB which has to be better than S5 so I might make it.

Good job we didn't watch it side by side. I would've done your head in with all my tutting, sighing and rolling my eyes. Piscatello (?) was the highlight for me.
