Saw Slipknot in Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. Great show. Right at the front as well.

I can say for certain that I'll be seeing The Birthday Massacre again when they come back to the UK in the autumn.

I can say for certain that I'll be seeing The Birthday Massacre again when they come back to the UK in the autumn. Loving their new single My Chemical Romance were on my list to go see this year but I'm not going to Huddersfield!

The 1975 (with beabadoobee supporting which was a nice surprise) were good last night. I wasn't actually as blown away by the experience as I expected to be - they didn't play a few of their older songs (turns out that even with their fourth album still not quite out, they have too many big songs to fit into a 2-hour set!), but the new stuff was great.

Went to see Anchor Lane 2 weeks back at the Dreadnought in Bathgate.
Very good live. Definitely one on my new bands.
They had support from Quiche and Pyro.
Pyro, a duo, were ok but a bit weird set up with the singer being the drummer stuck at back of stage with guitarist in front.
Quiche were good but equally weird at times. About 4 guitar players, drummer and keyboard player. 2 energetic characters at the front who were total opposites.

I was hoping to go and see The Birthday Massacre at The Fulford Arms in York on November but it remains to be seen whether it'll be going ahead.

Crowded House have rescheduled the majority of their tour dates for next year. No word yet from the organisers of the Sounds of the City festival in Manchester which was where I was supposed to be seeing them. I'm sure it will be cancelled (July) but I hope they'll get the band back next year

Crowded House rescheduled for next July as expected.
Has anyone risked booking anything for next year?
