Getting worried about India now looking in good form a big danger to us They were always the biggest threat. The main issue was whether they would adapt to the English pitches quickly enough. They have and with the talent they have, are cruising into the semis. In fact, it's looking increasingly difficult to see anyone not currently in the top 4 breaking into it.

Well played Bangladesh, they always looked capable of doing that, and glad they have!

I'm pleased to see Bangladesh do so well. Although it does look like it is the top four in the table to lose a Semi Final place, at this stage.

Bangladesh are now reaching a similar stage in their life at the top level as Sri Lanka were when they started making a major impact and you get the feeling they could be serious contenders for the next World Cup, which will be held in India.

A spectacular innings by England, smashing 397, their highest World Cup score. They hit 25 sixes, the most by any team in a ODI. Eoin Morgan hit 17 sixes, the most by any player in a ODI. After a patient start to the innings, England hit 233 off the final 20 overs.
Afghanistan's Rashid Khan finished with bowling figures of 0-110 from 9 overs, the most expensive in World Cup history.

Remembering back to when Kevin Pietersen was scoring a match winning century for England; (and the mobile phones which were so say being looked after securely); and some England backroom staff thought it would be hilarious to break into his phone and change his ringtone to the infamous B-side of Spitting Image "The Chicken Song": www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxEweP2TiMk (and they wonder why he got so disengaged with the "Clique" set up...) Then surely Eoin Morgan should have this as his ringtone:

Match 24, Old Trafford: England 397-6 (50) Morgan 148, Bairstow 90, Root 88; Gulbadin 3-68, Dawlat 3-85 Afghanistan 247-8 (50) Rahmat 46; Archer 3-52, Rashid 3-66 England win by 150 runsMan of the Match: Eoin Morgan A spectacular performance from Eoin Morgan helped England to their highest ever World Cup total. Afghanistan seemed happy to just bat out their 50 overs for the first time in this year's tournament, rather than make any effort to chase 398, though they did play enough shots to ensure this match broke the record for the most sixes in a World Cup match. The 33 sixes (25 by England, 8 by Afghanistan) beats the 31 scored in the 2015 quarter-final between New Zealand and the West Indies.
