SPOTLIGHT (LINKS): #1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 24 (most others can be found on YouTube). Chart colors best viewed when logged in.
DEBUTS: "Give Me The Sunshine" from Marcos Carnaval, Donny Morano & Paulo Jeveaux tops the debuts. Uplifting, Contemporary House with a touch of Soul make for a nice combination. Another hit from the Italian guys (with their hot sound) on Cut Rec records follows on their heels. "Weekend" samples a D- track not worth mentioning. You could hardly even call the original a hit. However, this time out the rhythms are just as groovy as the sparse Kira Wilkinson vocals. Contemporary and Progressive House with a retro vibe straight outta the 80's!
Joey Negro gives one of the smaller tracks from the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack (MFSB's "K-Jee") a 25% update. Needless to say the new remix is the BEST EVER. He takes it away from it's soulful roots and more into House territory. If only Joey had kicked it up even more! Many are mistaking his for the original as it's just a subtle bit away. AC Soul Symphony shares the credits.
CHART TALK: Extra points for being on the official USA Dance Club chart are enough to push "Higher" up and over "Chocolate" on the chart.
