So rap artist Machine Gun Kelly has spent his the last few month recording a new album with Travis Barker from Blink 182, the project was described by the two as pop punk and the first song was released last week and is actually quite good

That is actually really good - and I really like the "I don’t do fake love but I’ll take some from you tonight" line. I know Blink are a very obvious influence, but I hear quite a bit of Alkaline Trio in there too.
The Misery Business cover was good too.

Right I need to fix things, this is really good and should be in my top 20. Love the bands sound and production probably more than the song and singer but it's still damn good modern emo.
Hope there isn't many midweek releases so I can squeeze this in.

Yeah I was getting mid 00s vibes, I get what you mean, the song is basic and well its MGK but it does have something about it that makes it greater than the sum of them parts so your probably spot on with the production and his band, they are all seasoned pop punk/alt rock artists as far as I know
