So much of this I haven’t seen, I guess I don’t really do reality apart from The Apprentice and I’m Celebrity don’t really watch any others. Don’t even watch Bake Off. For me it’s 90% drama be it. Sci fi, fantasy, action, whatever. Then the rest is sit coms and panel and stand up shows.

43. Sherlock (2010-2017)

Sherlock is a British crime television series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, it stars Babadook Cumbersnatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson. The series is set in the present day, while the one-off special features a Victorian period fantasy resembling the original Holmes stories. Sherlock is produced by the British network BBC, along with Hartswood Films, with Moffat, Gatiss, Sue Vertue and Rebecca Eaton serving as executive producers. In January 2014, Moffat stated that a fifth series had been plotted by himself and Gatiss. As to the future of the series, Gatiss stated in January 2019 that due to the conflicting schedules of Cumberbatch and Freeman, a potential fifth series is still up in the air.

42. Fear The Walking Dead (2015-)
No. of Episodes: 69
Fear the Walking Dead is an American post-apocalyptic horror drama television series created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. The show premiered on AMC on August 23, 2015. It is a companion series to The Walking Dead, which is based on the comic book series of the same name. For fans of the show the sixth season is set to premiere on October 11, 2020. I love anything zombie related so no surprise this made my list. Set initially in Los Angeles, California and then later in Mexico, the series follows a dysfunctional, blended family composed of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark, her English teacher fiancé Travis Manawa, her daughter Alicia, her drug addict son Nick, Travis's son from a previous marriage, Chris, Chris's mother Liza Ortiz, and others who join their group at the onset of the zombie apocalypse. They must reinvent themselves, learning new skills and adopting new attitudes in order to survive as civilization collapses around them

41. Planet Earth 1&2 (2006/2016)
No. of Episodes: 17
Ok, I grouped these together, you could have any David Attenborough documentary in here, this is another show that might include tigers! although i cant remember for sure, maybe they were jaguars anyway there are definitely big cats here! Planet Earth is a British television series produced by the BBC Natural History Unit. Five years in the making, it was the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC and also the first to be filmed in high definition. Ten years later, the BBC announced a six-part sequel had been commissioned, titled Planet Earth II, the first television series produced by the BBC in Ultra-high-definition (4K). David Attenborough returned as narrator and presenter with a second sequel, Planet Earth III currently announced and planned to air in 2022.

Planet Earth was amazing. I think my favourite Attenborough documentary series was Blue Planet (both the original and the new one) - I find oceans and sea creatures so fascinating! Fear the Walking Dead started really promisingly but somehow ended up even worse than the main series. We never finished the most recent season. We do still laugh about that incredibly annoying kid Chris in the first season who was left in a room with a guy, given specific instructions not to kill him, kills him, but doesn't shoot him in the head properly so he comes back YOU HAD ONE JOB CHRIS!

40. Bo' Selecta! (2002-2006)
No. of Episodes: 45
Bo' Selecta! is an English "adult" television sketch show written and performed by Leigh Francis that lampoons popular culture and is known for its often surreal, abstract toilet humour. Bo' Selecta! was broadcast on Channel 4 and ran for three series between 2002 and 2006, spawning several spin-offs. Francis played central character Avid Merrion, a dangerously insane stalker, who is obsessed with celebrities and tracks them down. The show consists of sketches featuring caricatures of British and American celebrities, portrayed by Francis wearing latex facemasks. The most popular sketches involve entertainers such as Elton John, who is portrayed as being angry, aggressive and antisocial, David Blaine, Kelly Osbourne, who comes off as calm and laid back at first and then begins ranting uncontrollably at the camera, Michael Jackson, a foul mouthed mental patient who has tics in the form of "hee-hees"; Mel B, who has a strong Northern accent; and central character Craig David, an egotistical Yorkshireman who owns a plastic peregrine falcon named Kes, a reference to the 1969 drama film of the same name. Avid Merrion would appear in his own sketches placed throughout each episode. Another recurring character on the show played by Francis is "the Bear", a perverted teddy bear who interviews (real, as opposed to portrayed) celebrity guests, where he will make them read a bedtime story to him. It was all a bit daft and even spawned a Christmas song which was a rather unexpected uk #4 hit

39. Merlin (2008-2012)
No. of Episodes: 65
Merlin was a British fantasy-adventure drama television programme starring Bradley James as Prince Arthur and Colin Morgan as Merlin. It was broadcast on BBC One from 20 September 2008 to 24 December 2012 for a total of 65 episodes. The show is loosely based on the Arthurian legends of the young wizard Merlin and his extremely close relationship with King Arthur, but it differs from traditional versions. Merlin is a reimagining of the legend; in it, the future King Arthur and Merlin are young contemporaries, as differentiated from the traditional stories in which Merlin is an older adviser to the young prince/king. In this telling, Arthur's father Uther Pendragon has banned magic in Camelot. Its use is punishable by death, forcing Merlin to keep his magical powers secret from everyone in Camelot other than his mentor Gaius. Arthur grows from a young, self-absorbed boy to the mighty king in the legends, while Merlin develops into his colossal role as a magician helping to found the powerful Camelot. I was late to the party with this one, didn't watch it until about season 4, then went back and re-watched hem all, I know its a Haven favourite but it will have to settle for #39 here

38. Star Trek Discovery (2017-2020)
No. of Episodes: 29Star Trek: Discovery is the seventh series in the Star Trek franchise, it was the first series in the franchise since Star Trek: Enterprise concluded in 2005. Star Trek: Discovery begins roughly a decade before the events of the original Star Trek series, and follows the crew of the USS Discovery on various adventures. Sonequa Martin-Green stars as Michael Burnham, a female science specialist on the Discovery. Doug Jones, Shazad Latif, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, and Wilson Cruz also star, along with Jason Isaacs for the first season, Anson Mount for the second, and David Ajala for the third. The series was announced in November 2015, with Fuller acting as showrunner from February to October 2016 but leaving due to creative differences with CBS. He was replaced by Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts, who received producing support from Akiva Goldsman. Goldsman did not return after the first season, while Berg and Harberts were fired by CBS during production of the second; Kurtzman took over as showrunner, and was joined by Michelle Paradise for the third season. I'm a big fan of Star Trek and this was everything I hoped it would be, another fantastic series

It was all a bit daft and even spawned a Christmas song which was a rather unexpected uk #4 hit TWO Christmas Top 5 singles! Although I don't blame you for not mentioning the second one. Merlin was a great show, but I wasn't a fan of the final season. I don't think I'd ever bother to rewatch it.

37. Hells Kitchen (American TV series) (2005-)
No. of Episodes: 282Hell's Kitchen is an American reality competition television series based on the British series of the same name hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. It has been broadcast on Fox since 2005. Each season, two teams of chefs compete for a job as head chef at a restaurant, while working in the kitchen of a restaurant set up in the television studio. A progressive elimination format reduces a field of 12 to 20 to a single winner over the course of each season. In a typical episode, a single contestant is selected for elimination. The first 18 seasons were produced at a modified warehouse in Los Angeles that included the restaurant, dual kitchen facilities and a dormitory where the contestants resided while on the show. In February 2019, Fox renewed the series for a nineteenth and twentieth season, this time to be filmed at the Hell's Kitchen restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love this one, it's basically "The Apprentice" for chefs, every week is a new challenge followed by a dinner service and at the end of the night one chef is fired, my favourite episode is the signature dish round, you always get one person who spends half an hour making a tuna sandwich with tinned tuna or a spaghetti Bolognese using a jar of sauce and store bought spaghetti once someone even made a fruit salad, i love it ha

36. Shameless (2004-2013)
No. of Episodes: 139
Whilst compiling this I noticed the American version is still making episodes! I did enjoy the American remake, they usually ruin British comedies but with William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum, Cameron Monaghan (from Gotham) it is very well cast but I have gone for the original UK series set in Manchester on the fictional Chatsworth council estate, created and partially written by Paul Abbott, who is also the programme's executive producer. The comedy drama, centred on British working class culture, was accorded critical acclaim by various sections of the British media, including the newspaper The Sun and Newsnight Review on BBC Two. In 2005, the show won Best Drama Series at the BAFTA TV Awards and Best TV Comedy Drama at the British Comedy Awards.

35. An Idiot Abroad (2010-2012)
No. of Episodes: 19
An Idiot Abroad is a British travel documentary comedy television series broadcast on Sky One, as well as a series of companion books published by Canongate Books, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant and starring Karl Pilkington. The ongoing theme of both the television series and the books is that Pilkington has no interest in global travel, so Merchant and Gervais make him travel while they stay in the United Kingdom and monitor his progress. Originally titled Karl Pilkington's Seven Wonders of the World, An Idiot Abroad documents Karl Pilkington's journeys to foreign countries under the guise of visiting the New Seven Wonders of the World. Firstly a travel program exploring the Seven Wonders is fascinating by itself but add Karl Pilkington into the mix and you have great TV, I mean I never knew there was a Pizza Hut amongst the Great Pyramids of Egypt but now i do!, the second series was based more on a bucket list of things to do before you die and for the final series Karl is joined by Warwick Davis as the pair travel to China from Venice via Eastern Europe and India, loosely based on the journey of Marco Polo.

34. The Office (2001-2003)
No. of Episodes: 14
The Office is a British television mockumentary sitcom first broadcast in the UK on BBC Two on 9 July 2001. Created, written, and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, and produced by Ash Atalla, the programme follows the day-to-day lives of office employees in the Slough branch of the fictional Wernham Hogg paper company. Gervais also stars in the series, playing the central character David Brent. I prefer this to the American version which is hugely popular and I'm sure amazing but I've never actually watched a full series of the American Office, something is lost in translation when you Americanise a British comedy series

33. Better Call Saul (2015-)
No. of Episodes: 50
Better Call Saul is an American television crime drama series. It is both a spin-off and a prequel of Breaking Bad, set in the early-to-mid-2000s in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the series develops Jimmy McGill, an earnest lawyer and former con-man, into a greedy criminal defence attorney known as Saul Goodman. Also shown is the moral decline of retired police officer Mike Ehrmantraut, who becomes closely affiliated with the Juarez drug cartel to support his family. Jimmy and Mike's interactions remain sporadic until their respective storylines fully converge. It is a brilliant prequel to Breaking Bad, loads of the characters cross over and gives you a good idea of what went on leading up to Breaking Bad and why it all went down like it did

32. Star Trek Enterprise (2001-2005)
No. of Episodes: 98Star Trek: Enterprise, titled simply Enterprise for its first two seasons and is the sixth series in the Star Trek franchise, it served as a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series. The show is set in the 22nd century, a hundred years before the events of The Original Series and just prior to the formation of the United Federation of Planets. The series follows the adventures of the Enterprise, Earth's first starship capable of traveling at warp 5, as it explores the galaxy and encounters various alien species. Love the cast especially Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap), it could well be my favourite of all the Star Trek series although Voyager and The Next Generation would run it close

31. Lost (2004-2010)
No. of Episodes: 121
How do I explain Lost to somebody who hasn't seen it, I've watched it 3 times and still I'm not sure what happened towards the end, this would be higher if the last few series were better, the first 3 series are a solid 10/10 but the last 3 barely a 6/10. The show contains elements of supernatural and science fiction, and follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, after the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. The story is told in a heavily serialized manner. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashback or flashforward sequences which provide additional insight into the involved characters. It was a good show but maybe hasn't aged well

30. Top Gear (2002-)
No. of Episodes: 216
Top Gear is a British motoring magazine and TV show conceived by Jeremy Clarkson and Andy Wilman. The show launched on 20 October 2002, and broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC Two. The programme is a relaunched version of the original 1977 show of the same name, which looks at various motor vehicles, primarily cars. While the original format focused mainly on reviews of cars, the 2002 version expanded on this with motoring-based challenges, special races, timed laps of notable cars, and celebrity timed laps on a course specially-designed for the relaunched programme, with its format developing over time to focus on a more quirky, humorous and sometimes controversial style of presentation. Since 2002, the programme has been presented by several hosts. In its first series, the show's line-up was Clarkson, Richard Hammond and Jason Dawe, with Wilman as the show's executive producer, and introducing anonymous test driver "The Stig", an individual played by numerous racing drivers over the course of the show's history. Following the first series, Dawe was replaced by James May, these 3 Clarkson, Hammond and May really made the show what it was, but after a few false starts *cough cough Chris Evens* they have settled on a good dynamic of Andrew Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris
