Ok lets see what we have, again expecting this to be a tough year to find bad songs, less novelties, and I love nearly all the popular genres and artists, 1984 is a brilliant year for music but I'm sure I can still find stuff. "Weird Al" will not be on this list, sorry if that offends anyone but 'Eat It' is a masterpiece 1984 I am really struggling to find anything worse than a 4/10 here Even the comedy records are funny and they keep on being funny, how good is 'Hole In My Shoe' and this rate its going to be nothing but breakdance tunes!! OMG the US charts have some real dross!! ok we have 90 songs but 30 of them are easily too good for this list so here we go. And reminder THIS IS A PERSONAL LIST BASED ON MY OWN PERSONAL TASTE IN MUSIC IT IS NOT FACTS OR IN ANYWAY PERSONAL TO OTHERS

Will we see something from "almost everybody likes it, but you are not" category or it's only easily vulnerable targets like novelty / MOR / "the favourites of 40+ years old women" ?

Will we see something from "almost everybody likes it, but you are not" category or it's only easily vulnerable targets like novelty / MOR / "the favourites of 40+ years old women" ? The problem is I dont add anything I like to the list for obvious reasons. If I am unsure If I like it, I play it, half the time they get a pass. If I dont they go on a list. I get 70-100 songs and put them in order For 1984 everything in my top 50 list is a 4/10 or less but even a 3/10 is listenable only 10 songs got a 1/10 or less So one song I know you will like is currently sitting at 50 on my list, that may change but its a 4/10 song that means its ok But I can't put songs I like on a worst hit list, they obviously will be skipped and I like 95% of music in the 80-84s charts. Once I get to 1989 that will get more like 60% then I think we will see more common ground. As for your question both. If its the first category I upset Neil or RalIverpool if its the second category I upset you. I really wanted to be meaner that i am, there are songs I am giving a pass to that I maybe shouldnt be. I have to keep on repeating this I was 12-13, my views of the music at that age will influence how I look at them now. But I have also changed if it was 1984 I made this list you would probably see Alison Moyet, Bronski Beat and definitely more heavy metal for example on this list. I like them now so they get passes. Although in 1985 AM does have a risky one.

40 State of Shock - The Jacksons, Mick Jagger
Does this qualify? I dunno do you want me to second guess myself or going with my feelings. I personally don't actually know if I if think this is good or not but I dont really want to listen to it much.

39 All I Need - Jack Wagner
And yes I will keep being rude about one of my favourite genres when it sucks like this.. Oh dear, did he just take lyrics from all the big ballads and just mash them all up into a rip off Chicago tune. Just so lazy.

38 Susanna - The Art Company
I just dont get this one at all, was it one of those Euro holiday hit songs, it just doesnt sound like a hit song at all. Again its not bad just disappointing. Is that Borat in the video?

37 Going Down Town Tonight - Status Quo
Where Status Quo is on the list just depends how much worse music there is around and in 1984 there really isn't much, they are usually in the 40-60 region. Not a very memorable Status Quo song at all.

36 Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go) - Radio Edit - Hazell Dean
'Searchin' was a banger so it was safe and in any other year this probably wouldnt have made the top 50. Its ok but she has so many better songs. I know this will be popular sorry.

35 A Love Worth Waiting For - Shakin' Stevens
And a lack of other worse music just means more Shaky, I know its boring but what can you do. But 1986 isn't far away these lists will get fun again!

34 That's The Way (I Like It) - Dead Or Alive
Hmm if this was more well known it might be higher but this was a really weird cover, there is defintely something going on in 1984

31 Sexy Girl - Glenn Frey
I feel I am just lying to myself now. I have included the AOR god Glenn Frey, so I can insult another act I like. But really this song is pretty bad. This guy is a songwriting genius, how did he think this song was acceptable. At least we have some brilliance from him this year as well.

30 Stay the Night - Chicago
This isn't a typical Chicago song but that sadly is a bad thing in this case, it tries to be a bit cooler and rockier but just sounds a mess

I love Hi-NRG and I can listen to some Divine but I never liked this one I'm afraid.

27 Stuck On You - Lionel Richie
Dont mind this too much either, mostly due to the lack of songs this is even this high. But definitely not one of my go to Lionel songs.

26 Alibis - Sérgio Mendes, Joe Pizullo
Really not sure why dodgy soft rock like this was still a thing in 1984, if it was 1978 I probably woudl be much nicer to this but its been done. Unless you are really good at it like Mr Michael Macdonald just leave it now.

25 Teardrops - Shakin' Stevens
I just want 1984 to end now, its not even fun making this list as most of it is just meh, which is no fun for you or me.
