Nothing strikes me as particularly bad from 1985. The Crowd version of You'll Never Walk Alone may be on your list and you may do the same with Ferry Aid in 1987 although musically there's nothing particularly bad about them, and those only stand out because they were number ones.
I guess "I Know Him So Well" will be somewhere high on your list, given your dislike of any thing Barbara Dickson was involved in.

I did count The Crowd even though I hate the song and that’s from a Liverpool fan but I couldn’t include them to due to the cause but it was top 30 in my 1st draft. And yes too right about ‘I Know You So Well’ but more because it’s a musical song than a Barbara song. But I really liked ‘One Night In Bangkok’

40 Rockin' at Midnight -The Honeydrippers
Never knew they were a Robert Plant project, this just doesnt work for me. They were pretty big in the US as well.

39 In Your Car - The Cool-Notes
This is ok but much better songs in this genre, it was probalby best left forgotten.

24 Baby You're Dynamite - Cliff Richard
Now surely this classes as a really dodgy Cliff single, its not soppy or oid fashioned which is a good thing but it is just too cheesy for me. Yes I know I am hard to please with Cliff songs. Massive boob by EMI in not releasing Ocean Deep as the A-side.
By the time they realised their error and made the record a double-A it was off the charts and the momentum was lost.

38 Lover Come Back (To Me) - Dead Or Alive
This also is pretty ok, Dead Or Alive have done much worse and will do better.

37 Who Comes To Boogie - Little Benny & The Masters
Wine bar jazz meets funk, probably fine if you went to see them live but a hit song, no.

36 The Show - Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh
Highlight being the Inspector gadget sample...but the rest really not for me

34 Yeh Yeh - Matt Bianco
A similar position to 'Get Out Of My lazy Bed' but its much better but in a year of such quality as 1985 it still makes the list.

33 Act Of War (Part 1) - Elton John, Millie Jackson
Really not sure this sound suits Elton at all, he seems to have made his own version of 'The Heat is On'. The sort of random song youd hear on a movie soundtrack in 1985, works for that but youd never sit at home and listen to it.

32 Object of My Desire - Starpoint
Another sound that hasnt quite matured yet, this is very Miami Sound which I really like but its just not a very good song.

31 Oh Sheila - Ready For The World
This is probably the first No Limits powerplay on the list, thats how hard this has been that I had to include any. Again its ok not more I can say.

30 Just a Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody - David Lee Roth
Think this would be top 10 on some peoples lists but its Dave so I cut him a little slack. But really what was he thinking, too much drugs I suspect, and the second part of the mash up is even worse.

29 Frankie - Sister Sledge
A case of a video making a song worse. I love Sister Sledge but I hated this at the time, I really dont mind it now but I wont choose to play it. Oh this video is actually even worse than I remember.

28 Solid - Ashford & Simpson
Another song I hated it at the time, cant remember which compilation I had if it was a NOW or Greatest Hits of 1985 but this was by far the worst song. But I know now it wasn't meant for me a 14 year old kid. As an adult who is getting on a bit, the sentiment resonates much more. We all want to be 'Solid' now. So sorry A&S I just wasnt in that place.

27 Party All the Time - Eddie Murphy
Think this was in my recent #41 list and I might contradict what I said there. In this context, the song could have been much worse and it is very catchy but nobody in 2021 chooses to listen to this.

26 I Got You Babe - UB40, Chrissie Hynde
/ducks I have always hated this song and now I can just about bare it so #26 but it could easily have been top 10. Its not Chrissie's fault, its the whole concept and UB40, who have had some lucky escapes on this list so far.

25 I'm Your Man - Wham!
More controversy Wham! are back but probably for the last time, think their 1986 songs will be safe. Just never liked this and its probably still in my bottom 5 Wham! songs.
