I'm more of a Robbie Williams fan than Kylie but wasn't that keen on Sing When You're Winning, and I preferred U2 more in the 80s and early 90s.
In any case at the time Beautiful Day reached NM #6 and Kids NM #9 and I see no reason to depart from that.
On the week they were both at those positions (4 November 2000) the number one was this song (which isn't on Spotify, for whatever reason)

Both are a 4 out of 10 at best.

I have some ideas for the next battles, but you can suggest some interesting duels for the future.

You could do a "duel" from my chart... when Propaganda was kept off the top by "Kayleigh" by Marillion. Or you can stick with the UK and have Kayleigh vs "You'll Never Walk Alone" by the Crowd but I reckon that one will be a landslide possibly a whitewash.

Wham vs Band Aid doesn't really work now as Last Christmas did eventually get to #1, unless you pick Everything She Wants.. A bit like doing East 17 vs Mariah Carey, but you might want to do that latter one anyway.
Lady Madonna vs Delilah?

In the first Haven Factor, Beautiful Day won a sing-off, Kids got Kylie Minogue eliminated. Beautiful Day was up against David Bowie performing his song "All The Young Dudes" which was a hit for Mott the Hoople.
In the only round I had that didn't contain either a sing-off or entering two songs, the round of 5 artists, it was simply whatever came bottom went out, and that was Kylie Minogue with "Kids" with the other artists being E.L.O., Abba, The Pet Shop Boys and Blondie.

I wanted to do "Penny Lane" vs Engelbert Humperdinck, but possibly your suggestion is much more interesting.

Whereas there will be some who like Lady Madonna and others who prefer Delilah. Interesting that the songwriters of Delilah were the same as The Last Waltz, which is generally derided.

In my opinon there is a big favourite, but wanted a vintage pre-1970s battle.
Beatles - Lady Madonna
Tom Jones - Delilah

It's good time for Christmas battle from 1984 year. For five consecutive weeks top 2 was the same in UK chart (# 1 for Band Aid and # 2 for Wham).
