That's a long game, probably exciting stuff though! I remember in the mens doubles at Wimbledon back in the early 90s Michael Stich & John McEnroe won the doubles final by a final set score of 19-17 and that was one of the best matches i've ever seen! ;D

I heard that as well. When watching it though, I get to the point of, "Come on someone throw it!" Wimbledon in a month as well I guess? We do need more sport in here other than footy;)

I used to be a huge tennis fan but I'm not interested in it like before, dunno why?! Maybe the level is much lower comparing to the past years when Sampras & co used to set the courts on fire.

I used to love the sport as well, but like you, my interest has declined. I'll still watch Wimbledon when I can though! I used to love watching Agassi and players like him, but I always hated Becker!

Oh! I ADMIRE Goran ;D He was one of my fav players. Jade shud have him in her avatar for few days Oh yes! The moment when he won Wimbledon, tore off his shirt and dived into the crowd to reach his father was one of the most memorable and emotional moments of tennis that I can remember. ;D

So, any new young starlets? YES! Anna Kournikova seems to have inspired several youngsters in Russia to hit the ball a bit harder as the 17-year-old Marias - Kirilenko and Sharapova are giving the more-experienced players a run for their money. Kirilenko forced Serena Williams into a three set battle and Sharapova smashed two rather experienced players on her way to round three where she will face another young (19-year-old) Russian Vera Zvonareva. Also look out for Lina Krasnoroutskaya (who I think did not participate this year) - I reckon we haven't heard the last of her... and the French teen wonder Mary Pierce who faces Venus W on round three!!

Hi! We need pics please! I saw serena struggling, I think her shorts were cutting off circulation to her legs?

Unfortunately the Tim Henman match isn't on terrestial TV. It would be great if he reaches round 2 though since BBC does start showing the French open then! There are no Americans through to round 3 - the first time this has ever happened in a Grand slam event in the Open era. That will please the French, no doubt!

Yep, Roddick was knocked out - could make things easier for Tim since he was the projected Quarter Final opponent - but strangely enough, I'm still not 100% certain that he'll get that far!
