Starting NOW!
Glenn McGrath sustained an injury in the pre-match warm-up so he's out of the squad! Australia won the toss and opted to field, so England come in to bat first with Trescothick and Strauss.
COME ON LADS! ;D

Apparently McGrath's gone to hospital in a taxi.
Meanwhile England are 27-0

290-5 - a good fifth wicket stand, but Flintoff was out right after tea

Flintoff hit 68 off 62 balls! sixes and 4s all over the place, this is however a test, not a one day game. We need 400 at least, 450 would be better, can we not slow the pace down now, and concentrate on getting til tomorrow please. Oh and G jones (wicketkeeper) needs dropping, has he scored any runs yet? Get reed back in I say! Nice to see us hitting some runs, but is it a batting wicket and when the aussies come in, they'll knock 600 off us

407 all out - not a bad score! Let's see how many they can get tomorrow, then

Australia comfortably knocking off the runs this morning. Currently 87-1 after 19 overs. They could easily surpass Englands total on this pitch!

135-3, if we could get a couple more, we could have a real go at the tail!

That last wicket stand by England was CLASS, Flintoff hitting em for 6, in fact the most 6s in an ashes match by one person since Botham in 1981 and I remember watching that as well! Now we have the aussies on the ropes at 48-2, come on, let's get a few more before the night is over and really get at em! Make it 1-1, next test thursday at Old Trafford.
