im suprised nobody has mentioned the final 10 overs of this game, so unlucky by the end. i feel that the whole world cup is going to go down to the following games
Sri Lanka - Australia Eng - Australia Sri Lanka - New Zealand South Africa - England Australia - New Zealand
South Africa should be safe, because i think they will win their 3 matches before they play england, leaving them on, then it really is any 3 from 4.
Australia are top at the moment, but still have to play 3 tough games, they will beat ireland comfortably, suggesting that they only need 2 wins from the 3 games, but if they do lose one it could bring another of the teams into the equation. They will finish on 12 points
Sri Lanka have their easiest game last, they will take a little bit of confidence through to the new zealand game, but because that isnt for another week anything can happen, they should also end up on 10 points
New Zealand, they will end on 10 points
England will finish on 6
So the table should be
Australia South Africa Sri Lanka New Zealand
And the interesting thing for the semi finals is that if New Zealand can beat Australia in the 8's they will be up against them again, so really, anything can happen with that one.
I still feel that South Africa can win this world cup, and its certainly going to be exciting!

South Africa are quite often chokers in major competitions, so my money is on Australia or Sri Lanka. I do think England have blown their chance now after defeats to New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Really the opening batsman have let them down on too many occasions in this World Cup.

Hmmm we lost to Australia. Disappointing after what looked like a potentially big score thanks to the Bell/Pieterson partnership, but they couldn't keep up the momentum.

Flintoff's batting has been a complete flop in this tournament, and Vaughans no better!

I'm not convinced by Mahmood's bowling, he seems to be giving quite a lot of runs away. I wonder why Mr. Vaughan didn't put Bopara to bowl...
But yeah, the same couple of batsmen are letting the side down...

England looking on course for a comfortable victory against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh were 65-6 at one stage but made a bit of a recovery. They're currently 130-8 with 15 overs left.

Bangladesh were all out for 143. England should romp to victory in this one.

Exactly, we won but it wasn't very convincing. All credit to Bangladesh for not giving up though

Never take anything for granted with England. I only said 'should'. We did win but not by nearly as comfortable a margin as we might have. If the boys play like that from here on in we ain't going to last much longer.

Flintoff's batting has been a complete flop in this tournament, and Vaughans no better! You may have to eat your words there - Vaughan was our top scorer against Bangladesh, and Flintoff was the only one who scored at more than 1 run per ball! And LOL at Michael Vaughan dropping a catch and then achieving a run-out off the same ball!

And LOL at Michael Vaughan dropping a catch and then achieving a run-out off the same ball! Despite being top scorer, Vaughan's innings was awful. Flintoff looked OK while he was in but he still needs runs. At least his bowling's OK. One thing with England in this tournament seems to be the way they've played better against the stronger sides. They nearly beat Sri Lanka and were able to compete with Australia. All the games for England now are must-win but the next game is crucial for South Africa too and we've seen what happens to them in crucial games...
