If they play like that against SA, they'll get cheesed...

Doesn't sound like a great score, and a NZ win would help us out...

So NZ, Australia and Sri Lanka all look to be comfortably through to the Semis. Could all be down to SA vs England, what a huge game that is!

Yeah, it's basically between us and SA for the final spot.
Since the Australia game England have effectively had to treat the tournament as a knockout. Must win every game, one defeat and it's all over. I think partially explains the sluggish performance against Bangladesh.

On Friday the Thirteenth...
Ireland bowled out for 91 = 7 x 13 having been 13-4 at one point Australia win in the 13th over Ireland conceded 13 extras during the innings

That Ireland - Bangladesh match was the game that had most tickets sold. Because most people thought it'd be India vs Pakistan. Ooops!

The win now means Ireland will be given full ODI status for beating 2 test sides. It should also mean they qualify automatically for future World Cups.
Crucial game tomorrow then. If South Africa win, they're through and England and the West Indies are out. If England win, they'll be through if they beat the West Indies in the final Super 8 game. England could still qualify on net run rate if they beat South Africa but lose to the West Indies. The Windies can still qualify on run rate if England beat South Africa and the Windies beat Bangladesh and England.
Bangladesh's defeat to Ireland means they're definitely out and are actually behind Ireland in the table now (though Ireland's last game is against Sri Lanka).

Haha Doesn't look like anyone will be able to stop the Aussies, even Sri Lanka with Murali and Vaas back... In local news, the LV County Championship starts tomorrow, even though many teams will have depleted sides because of teams in the Super 8s.

Looking forward to todays game, though we need some big performances from the likes of Pieterson, Flintoff, Vaughan and Collinwood.

England 53-3 off 17 overs!
What a bunch of LOSERS! Can't play well in crunch games! About as good as the football team.
