57 William Orbit - Pieces in a Modern Style2000, #2 Top 3 tracks: Adagio for Strings, Pavane pour un Enfant, Xerxes Certainly one of the entries in my top 100 with mixed reviews, some people say it's souless but I think this album can be extremely profound listen (you have to be in the mood). Do not expect any dance beats here though - the single was a remix!

55 Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible1994, #6 Top 3 tracks: 4st 3lb, She is Suffering, Faster This album features in everybody's top 100 collection and always at the middle. My reason was that when I picked this album up as a moody youth it was so profound. I don't listen to it so much now but it always has a special place in my heart.

54 Lamb - Lamb1997, did not make top 40 Top 3 tracks: Gorecki, God Bless, Cotton Wool First of all can I say the guy in this group is gorgeous! Sorry! As for this album, it is another intense musical experience, Lousie's breathy folk vocals over some intriguing drum and bass arrangments - must check out their other albums out.

Oh, I can add three more to my list - notably the Bowie, Manics and Travis albums. I really should own some Pink Floyd proper (aside from just nicking DSOTM and Echoes off my Mum from time to time).

53 Oasis - What's the Story (Morning Glory)1995, #1 Top 3 tracks: Cast No Shadow, Don't Look Back in Anger, What's the Story (Morning Glory) The astonishing thing about this album is that I don't actually own it! And I hated Oasis at the time of the release. But absence makes the heart grow fonder - or maybe it's because their subsequent stuff has been so truely bad but I love the songs from this album - such a communal feel to it with joie de vie. And I have heard all of the album tracks so many times on the radio etc - the only one I don't know is Hey Now

I must say that Echoes is a really good introduction to Pink Floyd. I really not that fussed about DSOTM though.

52 Mansun - Attack of the Grey Lantern1997, #1 Top 3 tracks: She Makes My Nose Bleed, The Chad who Loved Me, Stipper Vicar What a weird, kinky yet utterly captivating album by these lads. I've just bought the highly acclaimed Six by them so may have two of their albums in the top 100 next time I do this.

51 Radiohead - The Bends1995, #4 Top 3 tracks: Fake Plastic Trees, Street Spirit(Fade Out), The Bends When I was young my musical tastes were pretty much 100% female vocal influenced. This album was the first one by a male vocal that I truely loved - and Fake Plastic Trees is one of the most influential singles of the last decade I feel. See Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars or Morning Runner's Burning Benches for example.

Continuing the theme, bold means I own it while Bold and red means I own and really love it... 70 Bjork – Medulla 69 Coldplay – Parachutes 68 Massive Attack - 100th Window67 Faithless – Reverence 66 Madonna - Ray of Light65 Soul II Soul – Club Classics vol 1 64 Travis – The Man Who63 Fiona Apple – Extraordinary Machine 62 Pink Floyd – The Division Bell 61 Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here Hmmmm, my favourite out of this lot is a close run thing between Bjork and Fiona but I'd probably hand the victory to Iceland. Just. Sometimes I'd even go as far as to say 'Medulla' is my favourite album of hers, I just don't own anything that sounds like it and can't think of anything that would! Fiona was a purchase inspired by you actually as you loved her so much and I'm a big fan of this album, it ties in my eyes with 'When The Pawn...' which I've subsequently bought and love too. I agree with your comments on '100th Window' and I must confess to not giving it proper attention at the time - seeing how well the tracks from it stand up on this year's 'Collected' has made me take another listen and it's rather good. Coldplay and Madge are both examples of albums I used to really like but absolutely never listen to any longer. Coldplay has probably aged the better but Madge probably holds a higher position in my heart for 'Drowned World...' alone. This leaves us with Travis then... I bought the album as everyone loved it and can safely say it's one of the most safe and horrendously bland albums I've ever bought - and this comes from a guy who owns Enigma albums! I've listened to it twice and will never pick it up again.

60 David Bowie - Hunky Dory 59 Radiohead - Amnesiac 58 Garbage - Garbage 57 William Orbit - Pieces in a Modern Style 56 Morcheeba - Big Calm 55 Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible 54 Lamb - Lamb 53 Oasis - What's the Story (Morning Glory) 52 Mansun - Attack of the Grey Lantern 51 Radiohead - The BendsWonderful group of 10! I don't really know where to start actually aside from to say they all have their merits. Even the Oasis album (which I now hate with a passion due to overkill in my sixth form years) was loved by me at some point. Lamb is probably my current favourite of the group, an album I bought late but really connect with - and YES about your member comment... strangely it was the last of their albums I bought despite it being their debut. Bowie, Garbage and Radiohead are complete classics while Mansun is a sadly forgotten gem. I agree with your comments on the William Orbit album, I have to be in the right mood also but when I am it can move me as much as any traditional interpretation of the music. Very impressive list so far Homes, I really WILL have to buy a Pink Floyd album at some point as our favourite albums are so similar - in fact I'm starting to worry mine will be just like yours but in a slightly different order - but I'm waiting to find out what your favourite Floyd album is before I purchase.

I'm really worried that of the remaining 50 you'll own 45 or something of them. There's only a handful I can safely say you won't own - or you might and never have mentioned it. Thanks for your comments - surprised about your hatred for Travis as I think the worst you can say is clone Radiohead. Glad you like most of the rest though - and what's this about member comments? As for the Floyd - yes you should try their Echoes compilation first. Although that has so much of their material on it that it makes purchasing some of the actual albums less of a priority.

Oh and I am shocked that Madonna won't make your top 100. I thought you were a semi-fully paid up member of her flock.

These are the ones I own from 71-50:
69 Coldplay – Parachutes 66 Madonna - Ray of Light 64 Travis – The Man Who 58 Garbage - Garbage 53 Oasis - What's the Story (Morning Glory) 51 Radiohead - The Bends
All of those would be in a Top 100 for me if I compiled one. All excellent ESPECIALLY the Oasis and Radiohead albums which would definately feature in my Top 20.

The member comments was aimed at your love of the Lamb man!
I do like Madge but I've recently found that I'm going off her albums. Her singles are close to genius and she'll probably never be surpassed in that area but it's a long time since I put an album of hers on that wasn't 'The Immaculate Collection' or 'Confessions On A Dance Floor' - which is quite good actually but not good enough to make the top 100.

The member comments was aimed at your love of the Lamb man! I think that's the first time you've EVER talked about liking someone in the public eye in that way! You're normally above such things.

That's quite possibly true actually... I'm just not a 'GAWD how totally HOT is such and such' kinda guy I guess!
