So, while you wait for me to compile the results from the 50 charts, let us know what you think will do well, or wont do well, which artists will have lots of songs on, and which dont... ;D
I ought to post up the top 10 from last year actually, hang on a mo...
10 Madonna Papa Don't Preach (1111) 9 Kylie Minogue Can't Get You Out Of My Head (1142) 8 Sinead O'Connor Nothing Compares 2 U (1218) 7 Human League Don't You Want Me (1334) 6 Oasis Don't Look Back In Anger (1339) 5 Soft Cell Tainted Love (1380) 4 John Lennon Imagine (1401) 3 No Doubt Don't Speak (1549) 2 Madonna Like A Prayer (1565) 1 Queen Bohemian Rhapsody (1788)
Obviously we have some new songs in the mix this year, how will they fare? ;D

I predict Arctic Monkeys to be the highest new entry.

I think "Hung Up" will also be a new entry, and that there will be a new #1 (no idea what though- hopefully something interesting). ;D

I'm hoping Gorillaz and James Blunt do well as well.

I'd like Oasis to chart with "Importance of..."
Also think No Doubt will fall a few.

I hope that Queen are not #1 this year, such an overrated song. White Town in sharp climb into top 10 shocker maybe?

I originally wasn't going to include Whitetown in my top 100 but because of you, DiscoDandy* I generously put it in at no.100 instead of the Human League. ;D Could make all the difference.

I hope that Queen are not #1 this year, such an overrated song. Agree,it's okay but never in 31 years have I understood it's enormous popularity.

I hope so too, should imagine it will make the final 100 at least.

I hope so too, should imagine it will make the final 100 at least. I'd love Wuthering Heights to do well, it's number 5 on my top 100, and it seems to be getting high positions on lots of different charts. I reckon among the new entries will be Arctic Monkeys- I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, and Oasis- The Importance Of Being Idle. Both of those are on my chart as well.

That sh*te best not be number one again! Wouldn't call it sh*te.I do like it but can't see why it's so mega-popular,often topping best-single polls.

Bohemian Rhapsody is so popular because it's a novelty - so much creativity went into that, and there's something magical about the mixture of what starts as a ballad, then goes opera and then heavy rock.

'Bohemian Rhapsody' is a CLASSIC - simple as that! I hope it wins again, or at least gets in the top 5. As for 2005 songs - I agree that Arctic Monkeys will be top of the pile, and I think that 'Dare', 'The Importance Of Being Idle' and 'Push The Button' will enter the top 100 as well! I don't think Blunty will make it though, but I hope he does!!
