Aargh, how can Basshunter be a finalist!? No idea. I wouldn't worry though, it's hardly looking like a contender.

Voted Duffy. Though I wouldn't mind Adele winning either.

So is this going to have its own dedicated show on TV - bit pointless if not? And they had really rubbish winners - Busted 'Thunderbirds are Go' - who remembers that?

So is this going to have its own dedicated show on TV - bit pointless if not? No, its only an online competition, bit pointless actually when you have Nickelback on there, KoL should have been nominated instead.

I voted Coldplay. It's not on tv anymore presumably since it's part of Jonathan "any hole's a goal" King's empire. I remember reading that the show made him an absolute fortune even when he was residing at his majesty's pleasure.

Why should Nickelback not be on there? And why should KoL have been nominated instead? Maybe in your opinion Sex on Fire is better, but that's just your opinion. Nearly 100,000 more people bought Rockstar than Sex on Fire, so surely it's earned it's nomination over KoL.
Looking at tracks with sales of over 300k, the only one I'm surprised not to see on the list is Black and Gold, which would have been well worthy of a nomination, in my opinion.
And hasn't Coldplay sold less than 300k? It was at 271k last time I checked.

This is surely the most pointless award in the entire existence of humankind.
If it's meant to be given to the most popular record, people have had an entire year to vote by getting off their soap-watching arses and BUYING it.
If it's meant to be the most artistically excellent record, voting is irrelevant, all that does is demonstrate popularity and not artistic excellence. Anyone who genuinely thinks "The One And Only" is a better song than "Sit Down" needs to be put in an institution.
