So chuffed we'll get her new album before next year and hopefully it will benefit from the Christmas market, i'm surprised at how mild the sales of 'Blackout' are with it's 3 strong singles.
Jive announced today -
Womanizer - first single, released to radio September 22nd
Circus - album, released on December 2nd (US) - Brit's 27th birthday.
I hope this is a huge success for her, it really seems asif she's bringing herself back from the recent bad times.

I am massively looking forward to this. Say what you will about Britney as a person but Blackout was hot! It was her best album yet and quite honestly, one of the best pop albums of that year (along with Good Girl Gone Bad by Rihanna). I loved every song and it deserved to be much bigger than it was (although 2.5 million copies isn't bad when you do not promote the album at all).
I hope she pulls herself together and not only delivers a great album but looks and behaves like she used to. People do want her to make a comeback, so if she makes the effort, it will be a big success.
I'm not sure about the title "Circus" but I guess it describes what her life is like. Let's hope they give her a decent album cover this time!

From DS -A track reportedly from Britney Spears's forthcoming album has been leaked online. The popstar's comeback LP Circus is due for release on December 2, her 27th birthday. The song, entitled 'Candy From Strangers', appears online at www.britneyspearscircusleak.com and features rap newcomers Laze & Royal. ITN reports that the sudden leak has cast doubt on the single's authenticity. Spears's previous album Blackout was released last November.

The heavily computerised vocals and the reuse of the opening music to Break the Ice make me wonder about it's authenticity. It's not actually bad though.

From DS -
Popstar Britney Spears is said to be returning to the UK to make an appearance on The X Factor.
The singer will perform her comeback single 'Womanizer' in what will be her first visit to the UK in four years.
ITN reports Spears will appear on the talent show this December - around the time her new album Circus is to be released. 'Womanizer' will be available in the UK on September 22.
A track from her new album titled 'Candy From Strangers' has already been reportedly leaked online.
Earlier this month, Spears took home three prizes at the 25th MTV Video Music Awards.
I hope this is true, it will be fantastic for the album.

She did need a good picking up by the scruff of the neck, shaking, and saying to her "get a grip and make a decent pop record". Blackout was awful, and it was the first one I didn't buy in the album or singles format, but it seems to have worked in her favour. I just hope "rush releasing" a new album won't make it three good tracks, and ten a bit crap. She has worked with Max Martin again, so I am very pleased with that. Oh, and don't say comeback in Toy Toy's Boy presence!

Oh, and don't say comeback in Toy Toy's Boy presence! Haha! I actually think that word is appropriate here, since Britney's gone through a period of personal and professional lows. It would be a comeback if she gets her life back on track and has a hit album. I only despise the word when people say "OMFG!! Have you heard Girls Aloud's comeback single?" Comeback? Their last single was 6 months ago! It was a Top 10 hit! How the hell is it a comeback? (Rant Over!)

I like it. The chorus is fantastic, really catchy but I don't think it's as good as the singles from Blackout.

Is it right they have put the single back a week as it needs more production work? I'm still thinking that it's going to be a quickly pushed out affair, and if they can't get the lead single right in time, it doesn't really bode well for the rest of it.
I'd like to be proved wrong, as I could really use a decent Britney album. Her album output quality went dramatically downhill quickly for my liking.

The album cover looks awful! Then again, so did Blackout's but that was a hot album. I don't get why Britney has such awful album covers. I've seen countless fanmade covers that look better.

Very VERY boring... If Gimmie More or Piece of Me were the lead singles from Circus they would have been #1's but this one doesn't deserve it... It's on par with Break The Ice... I.E. irritating! I dont know why but "Woman-izer" thicks "Man-eater" to me... As if she's trailing Nelly Furtado to make a similar "comeback"...

From DS -
Britney announces O2 arena dates
Britney Spears is to make a two-day stop in London as part of her 2009 world tour.
The singer will play at the O2 arena on June 3 and June 4, the only European shows in the worldwide jaunt.
Tour promoter AEG's Rob Hallett told the BBC that it will be a "very special" concert, which will take its theme from Spears's new LP Circus.
He said: "We're creating a musical circus. Expect to see jugglers, dancers, tattooed ladies and acrobats."
Meanwhile, Spears will be travelling to the UK this weekend to appear on The X Factor.
Circus, which features Spears's current single 'Womanizer', is due for release on December 1.

Me and two of my friends are hoping to see her when she's on tour! Let's hope the tickets aren't too pricey.
