Anyone watching it? Highlights? I've just seen Pendulum and bloody hell, they kick arse, the whole audience was absolutely jumping! I'm buying their album! Kasabian were pretty good as well, then I'm a fan already... Taping Franz Ferdinand later. ;D

Seen bits of it so far. It's been OK but nothing mind-blowing.
The so-called live coverage on BBC has been frustrating.

BBC has never had live coverage because they edit it.
Lily Allen's set I have seen, saw a tad of others but not really been worth waiting around and watching it.
3 people have been sent home from Glasto for having swine flu though.
BBC seem to cover Reading a lot better in August, maybe because it is the only event on, Wimbledon has had all the BBC channels and BBCi during the day.

The coverage so far has been very disappointing. Too much whittering (particularly from some pointless bint whose name I've forgotten talking about clothes). The fact that Virgin Media have chosen this of all weekends for the red button not to work doesn't help.

Springsteen opens with the epic "Badlands". Whenever I play this in the car, I end up shouting along with it. Tremendous start.

i have been watching it all weekend, the coverage is average and they keep repeating the same bits and the "live" coverage is pretty poor but pendulum were amaizing, you have to be there in the middle of the crowd to truely apreciate it. kasabian were on form and neil young was great yesterday, but what the hell was lady gaga wearing? 15 wardrobe changes and none of them covered her minge

I'm waiting for the BBCi best of bits they do on loop all week after a festival...
Also, Springsteen last night went past curfew, by quite a long way, in the end got plug pulled.

I've taped all 28 hours or whatever of BBC footage to my Virgin Media box. I watched about an hour of BBC3 coverage of Friday night. They only showed about 7 songs, they just seemed to show waffling from Edith Bowman (who I hate), Reggie Yates (who I hate) and some bint in a field I'd never seen before (who I now hate). Oh well, it'll get worse as I imagine Jo Whiley will have been on! It used to be so good, Phill Jupitus, Colin Murray, Mark Radcliffe, Zane Lowe, John Peel ( )...

That bint in the field must be one of the most pointless presenters in history. Even worse than Fearne Cotton. The highlight so far has to be Bruce Springsteen joining Gaslight Anthem for The '59 Sound. The singer looked completely awestruck as he was joined by his hero. Apparently he joined Springsteen for part of his set but that wasn't shown last night

This of course is the song where steam was rising from The Boss. I was expecting him to move on with I'm On Fire.

Mixed reviews then I've obviously seen the best bits, have FF on v-plus I'm hoping! Pendulum doing Granite was awesome as well! Bloody HMV though, Pendulum's In Silico was £4.99 last night, now it's £11, b*st*rds!

Ah, they're playing Thunder Road. That helps to make up for missing out No Surrender

If I'd have bought it I'd have let you have it, but I just downloaded it lol I dunno if you'd like that one more though, the first album was very drum & bass but the second album was more rocky and had more vocals.

Blur have been brilliant. It looks like there are some bits of the show they want to keep as a surprise for the Hyde Park crowd who didn't make it to Glastonbury. Fair enough, but as I'm not going to Hyde Park, frustrating as well.

I thought they showed far too much Pendulum. But they just don't swing it for me.

It's a sad state of affairs when Blur are on BBC3 and Black Eyed Peas on BBC2! :manson: They're playing 'Country House'!
