NME News David Gray reveals new album details
David Gray has revealed details of his forthcoming studio album, 'Draw The Line'. The follow-up to 2005's 'Life In Slow Motion' is due out in the US on September 22.
The self-produced album was recorded in London and features guest vocals by Annie Lennox and Jolie Holland. The track 'Fugitive', which features a gospel choir, will be the album’s first single.
Gray intends to embark on an extensive tour of the US in support of the new album this autumn. Tour dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The White Ladder album is perfection!!!!!!! The last one was a bit too Elton John-ish to my taste... he's got plenty of time to record this so hope it's worth it!!

What do you class him as within the sections Haven provides Jade?
He isn't dance, nor alt-diva.

Lost Songs is my fav album of DG indeed!!!! Songs like As I'm Leaving, Flame Turns Blue, Falling Down The Mountainside are all amazing and hidden gems the main public will sadly never get to know I'm assuming he was without a label at the time, that's why those never got released... And isn't David Gray indie-rock?? That's where I'd put many singer-songwriters ala Ray Lamontagne or Bon Iver. They're certainly not pop... I'd rather label him rock than pop...

i wouldn't label him pop either, but this is a general music form - no-one said it was pop only. it also gets a lot more attention than indie. this thread has already attracted the attention of one poster who didn't spot it in indie. i genuinely think it will do better here

That link doesn't work any longer.
Anyway, Fugitive is an excellent new single:

Can't see him having the success White Ladder gave him again, radio stations don't seem to want to bother with him nowadays.
