Given the RATM/Girls Aloud ones.
Which is the most deserving cause for a campaign to get to number one?
The greatest-ever charts injustices were "Golden Brown" being beaten by "Town Called Malice", which started the whole "let's release dozens of formats and artificially increase sales" perspectives, and the statistically joint number ones denied by chart rules at the time (e.g. "Groove Is In The Heart").
But surely the most outrageous ever was "Vienna" being beaten to the top spot by Joe Dolce. Were I able to start a facespace type campaign to bring a song to the top, I think I would start this one.

I think anything by Carrie Underwood is deserving of a Number One campaign. I think it's so ridiculous her record label hasn't even showed the slightest bit of interest launching her in the UK. As Taylor Swift showed, country DOES sell.
I always thought it was ridiculous that Stephanie McIntosh's 'Mistake' didn't even make the Top 40, as it was just as good as Kelly Clarkson's 'Since U Been Gone'. I think maybe the stigma of being by a former soapstar hindered as opposed to helped her.
Also Jordin Sparks' Battlefield deserved to be #1 so badly.

Kings Of Leon 'Use Somebody'. I think it was just as deserving as Sex On Fire was.

Purely because it keeps entering the charts every Xmas, The Pogues featuring Kirsty Maccoll - Fairytale Of New York. Would make a far more suitable Xmas no. 1 than anything Simon Cowell chooses to use as next years X Factor winners single. He's already chosen such "classic" ( :-\ ) as 'When You Believe' and 'The Climb'. ( :-\ :-\ ). I dread to think what criminal record he will choose for 2010.

Maybe we could cheer Mr Cowell up and get this one back in the charts.

a bunch of no2 from the mid-90s like Oasis (Wonderwall), Natalie Imbruglia (Torn), The Verve (Bittersweet Symphony), Pulp (Common People)...
also Robbie's Angels, which peaked at 4...

All Simon Cowell's fault, of course... However I hope you just support the "Get Real Music Back Into The Charts" campaign and we'll get a good brand new song to number one.

Probably to get Let's Get It Started - BEP's into the top 10. Like GA, the only blemish on their top 10 run.

Green Day deserve a #1, maybe with something less derivative than Know Your Enemy which was a bit of a disappointment after nearly 5 years away. The Killers should have had one by now, maybe RHCP and Linkin Park as well. Oh, and Muse are OVERDUE. Supermassive Balck Hole would have been a great #1.
Agree with Fairytale of New York,

Following on from a sarcastic post I made on Buzzjack, how about getting Riva featuring Dannii Minogue 'Who Do You Love Now?' to no. 1 the same week Joe McElderry releases his next single...and Dannii wins!!!
