Heyy guys =]
I'm new (obviously), and this is the first general chat forum I've ever joined. My name's Rachel, and I'm currently studying for my A-Levels at 6th Form (Media A2, Drama AS, English Literature AS and Communications and Culture AS). I'm super into theatre, photography, arty stuff like that.
Anyhow, I look forward to chatting with you etc etc oxoxox
(plus are there any rules about your font and everything? I'm totally OCD about stuff like that XD)

Taking it if you're A2 and AS's you are either 17 or 18 or 19?
Where in the country are you from?
P.s. how did you find out about Haven?

I'm 16 at the mo, but I'm going to be 17 in a month =] I'm taking one of my A-Levels early (but I'm not entirely sure why, I think that it was an experiment by my school, they picked out random people I think and were like "Right, A-Level, now." Because I'm not all that smart XD)
I'm from England, Surrey - where Privet Drive (Harry Potter) is, if that helps, ahah
Aaand I found out about Haven cause I googled "general proboards forum" =] ox How long have you been a member?

Uh-huh just got back from a script-cutting sesh with my drama group. Our drama teacher is an absolute dragon, so we have to meet out of college to do all of our rehearsals and script-cutting, cause otherwise she totally hates on us.
Admittedly though, she's a pretty good director. The school productions have always been quite good. I've done Bugsy Malone, Sweeney Todd and Grease so far. Might find a vid of Grease or something later XD I was Jan (the one who eats the whole time). The costume designer pretty much force-fed me the entire rehearsal period, it was jokes ;]
There are proper auditions and everything (usually about 600 our of our 2000 students turn up). As it was Grease, about 800 turned up XD It was sooo loud. ANYHOO, for our A-Level drama we're doing 'The Laramie project' (in 2 weeks). What are you doing? And good luck with it! oxox

Not far from Legoland then. I lived for ten years in that part of the world before I moved to lovely sunny Essex last year. Welcome to Haven.

Acting wise I did a scene from "The Crucible" and "Men Should Weep" while in my written exam I have to write an essay on "The Crucible," direct a scene from "The Crucible" and write another essay comparing "Men Should Weep," "The Steamie," and "Passing Places." Quite a lot to learn but not that bad an exam actually. Thanks and good luck to you too!

Hi Rachel. Welcome to Haven. I didn't join in 1970 btw! My Haven account disappeared once and came back saying 1970 and apparently can't be changed.

Not far from Legoland then. I lived for ten years in that part of the world before I moved to lovely sunny Essex last year. Welcome to Haven. Yesss, not far from Legoland =D I haven't been for ages though. So nostalgic ;] Wow, that sounds great. I really like my drama teacher, strict but nice! Ohh, my old english class and I went to see 'The Crucible' once by an amateur production group. I know this is mean, but it was hilarious! The guy playing John Proctor has a speech impediment and a greasy comb-over. AND the girl playing Abigail had a fringe over the entire right side of her face. OH, and Mary (?) had a reeeeally low cut dress on (imagine going to see that with a group of 15 teenage boys, who love a bit of "banter") XD It's such a good play though, so good luck with ittt! =D Just got back from another (secret) rehearsal of Laramie - finally blocked it all! Our drama teacher made 4 people cry today in our lesson (and considering there's only 4 guys and 4 girls in our class, that's 50%!). She's such a failed actress, and she takes it out on us XP Ah well, it brings the rest of the class together. Andy; I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I have to admit; 'reality' talent shows are my guilty pleasure. NEVER, been addicted to TV programs before, but 'Over The Rainbow' has me OBSESSED. Oh and Derren Brown's shows just ... rock ;] The music I listen to is mostly show songs XD (about 50% on my iPod are from musicals). But I love Regina Spektor sooo very much =D I will definitely have to go and have a peek at the musicals board =] oxox

Hi Rachel
Welcome to Haven
Any particular reason you like using a smaller font?

Hi Rachel Welcome to Haven Any particular reason you like using a smaller font? Ahhaa, the only reason I use a smaller font is cause I tend to write a whole lot, and if I do it in big font it fills up the whole page XD I don't have full-blown OCD, and it doesn't interfere with my life all that much any more, but I'm a bit obsessed with order and stuff (like having to have the volume control on a multiple of 5, having to line all of my books and DVDs up in size order, having everything on flat surfaces - squared up). But I'm not bothered with germs or whatever, just lining stuff up XD oxox In my opinion, I don't have OCD any more, even if it's still medically classified. Either way, big font isn't a big deal =D I can change it if you want =] ox

It was not a criticism, by the way, I hope Burnham didn't see it that way. I also have OCD with Aspergers Syndrome.
