Beyonce - Girls (Who Run The World)
This track leaked today and received its first UK airplay on Capital FM this afternoon; produced by DJs/producers Diplo & Switch (Major Lazer).
No date as to when it will be released from the forthcoming untitled June album from the Glastonbury headlining act, but now it has leaked I can't imagine it will be too soon.
Thoughts on the track?

I like the production and the video looks good but I'm really disappointed. A lot like Gaga, she seems to have gone for a good concept then forgotton write a song with a good melody.
I hope this is a grower like Single Ladies was.

It seems more like a groove and not a complete song. I'm sure it will be a grower but feel very underwhelmed

Hell no! It would be massive! This tune is so sick and addictive! Actually it's just Major Lazer track "Pon De Floor" with Beyonce vocals added. At first I hated this Major Lazer song but then it was in my head all the time and I downloaded it and still listen to it sometimes! The video for "Pon De Floor" is so... 18+! I'm shocked it's still available on Youtube!

Oh dear. Another big-hitter getting it all sorts of wrong. What a shouty mess, only slightly worse than Ring The Alarm, where's the tune!!. There had better be a big saving ballad in reserve, otherwise we have the trilogy of mis-timed female solo projects for 2011. No wonder Adele is walking it.

I kind of like it tbh, or, I will on nights out. They still play Pon De Floor EVERY NIGHT in some places I go. It's just a crowd pleaser.

Easily one of the best videos for Beyonce's career. Visually cinematic, it's stunning.
Shame the song is still an absolute mess. It hasn't really grown on me at all.

First time i have seen the video and i like. The chorus has grown on me a lot but the verses and bridge still a bit unfathomable for me. Wonder if it will come back much in the charts now the video is out

Love the video! It's so good, it may actually help the songs performance on charts me thinks.

the song has done nothing so I'm sure the video will push it up, especially in the US, when it didn't even poorer than in the UK

Exactly my thoughts on this mess of a "tune". At least with Ring the alarm there was an awesome Freemasons mix which saved the track to a certain extend.

It definitely becomes clearer the more you listen to it but not going to go down as one of her greatest moments

Apparently 1+1 is just a 'promo' single (read: bad critical reaction) and so 'The Best Thing I Never Had' will be the follow-up instead.
