What a mess for the start of '4'. Let's hope they get the right track otherwise it may well underperform

I think 1+1 was the one she did on AI in the finale... went as high as #11 on US Itunes but went down pretty fast... and Girls isn't doing much better despite the video also being shown on AI plus she did mentor the contestants too...
EDIT: Girls is #23 and 1+1 is #31 now

I've not even heard 1+1. Is it different to Run The World in style?

I've not even heard 1+1. Is it different to Run The World in style? It's a ballad. Not very good imo. And the lyrics are quite awful in some places.

the lyrics are atrocious... something like I was never very good at algebra but I know 1+1=2 agree it's not very good, it builds but goes nowhere... it's not Halo or If I Were a Boy...

Shame as I always think Beyonce's strong point is ballads. Will check it out on Youtube if it's there

I haven't liked anything from this album that I've heard so far, which is a shame, as not only was it one of my most anticipated releases of the year, but I expected she might be able to pull off another UK million seller. I doubt it'll even go platinum if she keeps up releasing duds.
Both 1+1 and Run the World feel like B-sides from B'Day.

Just watched it now. Great vocals and performance but the song seems dull on first listen

The second single:
The first song that I've actually liked (out of Till the End of Time, 1+1 and Run the World). It's like a more mature Irreplaceable.

That's more like it. Wonder if they will scrap a lot of the songs on the album?

It's much better than 1+1 but still not feeling it. Getting worried this will be the first Bey album I don't buy

Ok, heard this in VUDU 3 months ago, was first week of Easter so mid April. Me and my friend didn't know what it was but sounded ok. It has pon de floor which I love so if it means I can hear it more all good . Not heard it since, but VUDU plays proper club music and if it was bigger it would be a monopoly in York, but its in the middle and is a cocktail bar with a small dancefloor. Ah well.

I wonder how big the Spanish download market is. Still good for Bey to have a number 1 with this somewhere

just realised Best I Ever Had is already out in the US... but not doing that well (#94)... 1+1 is even lower at #133... Girls is still the one doing better at #40...

This era is complete underwhelming, but somehow she still seems to pull off being the biggest star in the world imo. I suppose expectations were pretty tremendous across the board.

Looks like they are going for the Gaga approach. Throw a load of tracks at everyone and see which one sticks
