I guess the lines have to be somewhere. Boreham Wood is about 2.5 miles north of where I live (and slightly to the West) and Barnet about 2 miles south-west (more South than West) and they are 4.2 miles from each other., yet one is "inside" London (yes it's in the London Borough of Harrow) and the other is not (yes it's in Hertsmere).

With Wrexham now back in the Football League, Merthyr are the only remaining Welsh club in the English pyramid (Colwyn Bay moved to the Welsh pyramid in 2019) so the Welsh section will become the non-English section next season to incorporate Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man, though Merthyr are guaranteed to be champions next season.
