I cant imagine Little Mix or even Marcus doing Cannonball...why cant they do a new track or at least a classic Christmas song.

^^ agreed. I'd like the Christmas #1 to be something Christmassy !

They are trying to do a credible song to reduce the number of people buying in to campaigns to keep them off the Xmas #1 spot

What's the point when you have failed to include the 4/9 odds on favourite in the poll.

The Christmas No.1 will be the one that is there in Christmas Day's Chart. The Chart of Sunday 25th December. (That is Official, & not just my opinion).
Little Mix will not be able to remain at No.1 for 2 Weeks. Their cover of Cannonball is truly garbage. It is laughable that they even bothered to cover it. They have ruined it. They really have.
Anyhow, whatever those who disagree with me think, it will not be No.1 in the Chart of Sunday 25th. Military Wives will almost certainly stroll to No.1 in that Chart. I'm not saying that their Single is much better, but, at least that amateur Choir can Sing.

Looks like Military Wives might have it in the bag then...but it could still be Chris Rea.

Not with Stacey Solomon's version out as a spoiler But the new (well 2009) video for Chris Rea's Driving Home For Christmas features Martin Shaw, Mike Read, David Hamilton, Kristian Digby, Gail Porter, Lizzie Cundy, Kenny Thomas, Matt D’Angelo, Mark Brennan, Giles Vickers, Lionel Blair & Gary Barlow's nemesis Carole Decker!!!

I'd actually never seen that video before until recently on VH-1. Apart from Mike Read, David Hamilton, Carol Decker, Lionel Blair, Gail Porter and Kenny Thomas, i couldn't name any of the others so thanks for providing the names! Somehow i missed it in 2009, great fun video though.

Such a random selection of people! My money is on Chris Rea. If you factor all the people who will be 'driving home for Christmas' this year, that is quite a lot of people. Translated into record sales, you're looking at a huge surge for Chris Rea I reckon.
