The Olympic football tournament starts on July 25th, with GB's women playing New Zealand.
The opening ceremony for the Olympics takes place two days later.
The USA qualified for the women's football tournament but not the men's.
All the Olympics coverage is on BBC, though Channel 4 are showing the Paralympics.

The men's tournament starts on July 26th, the day before the opening ceremony. The tournament lasts the whole duration of the Olympics, so about two and a half weeks.
These are the groups for the men's and women's tournaments.
MEN Group A: Great Britain, Senegal, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay Group B: Mexico, South Korea, Gabon, Switzerland Group C: Brazil, Egypt, Belarus, New Zealand Group D: Spain, Japan, Honduras, Morocco
WOMEN Group E: Great Britain, New Zealand, Cameroon, Brazil Group F: Japan, Canada, Sweden, South Africa Group G: USA, France, Colombia, North Korea
The men's tournament doesn't count towards the world rankings but the women's does as there's no age limit.

Senegal were at the 2002 World Cup. They reached the quarter-finals, having beaten France in the opening game.
The European qualifiers were the top 3 from the last European Under-21 Championship: Spain, Switzerland and Belarus. Italy didn't qualify for that tournament, and therefore aren't in the Olympics.
Honduras were at the last World Cup but didn't win a game. They qualified for the Olympics by reaching the final of the CONCACAF qualifying tournament. The USA went out in the group stage after losing to Canada and drawing with El Salvador.
It will be a totally different Spain team. The men's tournament is limited to players who are under 23, though each team can have three over-age players in its squad. David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy have mentioned as possible over-age players for GB.

No. Europe only got 2 places, which were decided by performance at the last World Cup. Germany lost to Japan in the quarter-finals, while Sweden and France reached the semis (France doing so by beating England on penalties in the quarters, so I'm not sure who would've got the second spot if England had been one of the top 2) so they qualified for the Olympics.

Yes, all teams in the men's tournament are allowed 3 over-age players.
In the men's tournament, the top 2 in each group go through to the knockout stages.
In the women's tournament, the top 2 in each group plus the two best 3rd-placed teams go through to the knockout stages, meaning only 4 teams will be eliminated in the first round.

Micah Richards plays for Manchester City. He has 13 England caps.
He's only just turned 24 so I'm slightly surprised he counts as an over-age player. Maybe the cut-off point is the beginning of July.

Maybe the cut-off point is the beginning of July. 1st January 1989 is the cut off date, always the same, under 21 in club structure where they don't have to be registered is 1st January too. Football Manager knowledge there!
