My new favourite band love everything about them, their sound, the singer´s voice, the lyrics... the album If You Leave and the Wild Youth EP are absolutely amazing and all kinds of beautiful!!! Some of the jewels they´ve released so far... Still Home Youth

Absolutely loving their album right now.
The Alle Farben remix of Youth is stunning as well.

That was my next HIT band, but was going to be with Human...
That has destroyed that idea...

i like some of what i've heard but am not wildly excited by them; to be honest, i'm slightly biased against their sound because my first thought was 'oh great, another band with a wispy-sounding female vocalist' - that sound seems to be this decade's answer to the 2000s trend for imitation-retro guitar bands. 'human' is the best thing that i've heard. don't see why you can't enter them in HIT, paddy - although ironically it would have been better if you hadn't complained that you can't enter them, because now if they are entered we'll all know it was you

^not sure if they qualify as hidden but sure as indie treasure what do you mean by "wispy-sounding" ? what others do you have in mind? I see Human has just been added to Radio 1´s playlist, but it´s not one of my favs (yet)

i can't think of another way to describe it. it just seems like that sound is everywhere. it's like someone took dido's style of singing and made it cool.
*waits for torrent of complaints that daughter don't sound at all like dido etc.*

I love Dido and the way she sings but don´t see any resemblance in the way the chick from Daughter sings... but what other female singers of the 2010s you have in mind? ?

Lucy Rose solo stuff but might be best known for vocals she contributed to bombay bicycle club Gabrielle Aplin Bat For Lashes The Staves Regina Spektor Norah Jones Laura Marling Lisa Hannigan also did some work with Damian Rice First Aid Kit even Joy Formidable seem to be going more down that route with their new songs seems like every ten a penny indie band are going that route wether male or female

but do you want... indie bands fronted by Mariah Carey??? personally, Lisa Hannigan is my favourite female singer, her voice is not strong ala Mariah but it´s the most beautiful singing voice ever, especially live, you can sing beautifully without shattering glass with your voice. I´d rather have 5 nanoseconds of Lisa Hannigan than anything Mariah Carey can sing

just seems like its the trend at the moment, theres probably dozens of better examples but i don't pay much attention, i guess once you hear one band or artist like that unless they are amazing it all sound the same unless your propper into it

I love "Youth" (which I originally bought in 2011 off of the "Wild Youth EP") and last year I bought "Smother" and "Still".
I should get the album really as I've liked all of the singles.

Tomorrow just clicked... guess it's the lyrics "Don't bring tomorrow,...'cause I already know... I'll lose...I'll lose you..."
really beautiful honest heartbreaking lyrics. I'm really connecting with her lyrics. my fav are Youth, the bit about "collecting names of the lovers that went wrong"... and of course, the "you caused it"!!!!
