Absolutely love this idea, just getting it see what it is like, really take me back to my childhood, so much love for the genre.
Anyone else got it or interested?

had never heard of it - fortunately, i asked and google provided: www.amazon.co.uk/Teenage-Dirtbags-Various-Artists/dp/tracks/B00DYQLETI/ref=dp_tracks_all_1#disc_1reading that list felt like regressing about 10 years! a lot of skate-punk which my friends were really into, and quite a few songs i used to really love as well. i have to say i wouldn't ever consider buying it, purely because i have most of the songs as mp3s anyway and the ones i don't have, i don't have for a reason...

This is the sort of music that made me think all recording studios in the US should have been closed between about 1999 and 2004. Well, except John Mayer, but he's not famous enough.

I own 16 of those tracks, but can't remember a similar number. Will have to stream it at some point to see if those I don't have are killer or filler.

Yeah, to be fair not everything on there is totally hideous, although most of the best stuff is the stuff that doesn't really fit the punk-pop concept. And that includes most of the British stuff, oddly enough; they could at least have picked the Funeral For A Friend song with the silly title.

This is probably my favourite track on the album that people might not already know:

I'm a bit too old for this, I think, I suppose the Senseless Things and, maybe, Kingmaker, kind of filled that niche for me when I was a teenager...

A surprisingly good album. Oddly though, I couldn't see myself get into a lot of the US dirtbag stuff if it was released now. There's probably tons of tracks similar out in the last few years that I wouldn't have paid attention to.
A, Hundred Reasons and Ataris probably the best tracks for me.

There isn't much Of this sound being done by new bands at moment only two I can think of are Twenty One Pilots and Zebrahead

i think it's old enough to sound dated but not old enough yet to have a proper revival like earlier 90s music. give it 5 years or so...
