Trying to follow this, sorry.
I opted for 9 and 19 originally. The list above shows 34 and 35.
I am confused. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Okay, strike that last comment. I think I understand what happened. I'm not fully awake.

I see Twirling Magnet fell at the first, well at least it ran unlike that other horse that refused to start, I expect it's been turned into dog food as we speak Mel and Rebecca choose two horses based on their names, Mel went for One in a Milan and Shakalakaboomboom, while R had Rainbow Hunter and Rocky Creek, so R got a 5th placed finish and I got a 17th with Hunt Ball.

My horse came second, I only put £2 on it, I wish I put a fiver on it now.

Actually I switched onto BBC1 first, didn't realise Channel 4 are transmitting the Grand National now.

I won! Wish I had put some money on it. No winnings for me this year but I wasn't overly confident compared to previous years. I had Balthazar King last year but he finished so far back I wasn't convinced of his chances this year.
I was at football this afternoon so didn't see any build-up and didn't see the race til I got home and watched it on C4+1 and was very surprised to see Katie Walsh riding in the race. Must've been a very late switch.
Paul Moloney is worth a mention - 6th year in a row he's finished in the first 4.

I totally forgot about the Grand National this year until about an hour before the start of the race. That said, I haven't bet on the race for 10 years now, the last time being (as far as I can remember) back in 2004.
There was a time when I would never overlook having a bet on the race - but then again at one time it seemed to be more of a big event with a build up that seemed to last weeks.
I don't think I've ever backed the winner though I have won on each way bets with my horse finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

I suppose 2 in the first 10 wasn't bad.
