Misterhamster, do you know much about West Allotment Celtic as Kboro have them in the next round, which I shall try and get to on the 30th. Neither team has been beyond the Preliminary round, so this will be record breaking for one team. £1500 for winning the last game, and £1950 for winning this, nice amounts of money for a team like Knaresborough.

It'll be a tough game for Knaresborough but not unwinnable. WAC were promoted from Northern League Division 2 last season and have started well this year in Division 1 and also beat a good Hebburn team in the last round.
Marske played them last season in the League Cup and they gave us a decent game which we eventually won 2-0.
I'd make WAC favourites due to them being in a higher division, as well as the Northern League generally playing higher than its level but I'd certainly give Knaresborough a chance - there are much tougher draws they could've got.

This weekend's fixtures: (position in Mr H's top 1000 in brackets) AFC PORTCHESTER (413) v Folland Sports (332) Ellistown & Ibstock United (635) v KIRBY MUXLOE (501) If AFC Portchester progress, they will be away to Fareham Town or Longwell Green Sports in the next round. If Kirby Muxloe make it through, they will be at home to Hereford United.

How did Marske get on Misterh?
Knaresborough sadly lost 0-1, in a game of two penalties and two red cards, and a somewhat odd ref. West Allotment Celtic got the first penalty which seemed justified and scored, then a little later they were given another one, and the ref proceeded to send a Kboro player off, who protested he wasn't the player that made the foul, plus the ref didn't give the penalty, I think the lino did, so I'm not sure how the ref knew who to send off. Late on, he red carded one of their players for an off the ball incident that no-one seemed to complain about, and Knaresborough had several good chances to equalise, they also got the ball in the back of the net, but the ref had already blown up for a previous foul. Attendance 268, which may possibly be closest to the biggest ever at Manse Lane.

Easy win for Marske today - 3-0 up inside 20 minutes and were able to relax a bit for the rest of the game. Much tougher test in the next round at home to Dunston, who have found form since we beat them 3-1 on the opening day of the season.
Sad for Knaresborough but great to see such a big crowd. Hopefully both they and Marske can win in the Vase next weekend and set up another meeting...

Kboro are away at Chester-le-Street in the Vase, doubt that will be easy? The photographer at the game has some pics of the 2nd penalty, and the ref has sent off the wrong player, I hope they can appeal over it!

It'll be easier than West Allotment. CLS are a mid-table Division 2 side - very little to choose between them and Knaresborough, I fancy. Wouldn't be surprised if it went to a replay. We have a tough tie as well away at Hebburn, who were relegated last season but have made a great start in Division 2.
With that evidence, I don't see why Knaresborough can't appeal against the ban (I would assume to the West Riding FA) though it could mean the other guy is banned instead. Could come down to who the club will feel they'd miss the most.

Yeah I guess so, I said to Sam, if it was a pen and it looked like it was, he had to red card someone, and the players and fans were giving the ref some stick about it. Sounds hopeful for the FA Vase then, and Hebburn were who West Allotment beat in the last round of the FA Cup wasn't it?

That's right. It's a game we should win but it'll be a big step up from what we've faced in the FA Cup so far (as will our next FA Cup tie).

This weekend's fixtures: (position in MrH's top 1000 in brackets) Longwell Green Sports (549) v FOLLAND SPORTS (332) ELLISTOWN & IBSTOCK UNITED (635) v Hereford United (122) There were doubts over whether Ellistown & Ibstock's tie would go ahead due to an ongoing winding-up order against Hereford but today they were given a further six weeks to pay their debts and Saturday's game is on. This is the first round where teams don't know their potential opponents in the next round. This weekend's winners will go into the hat for the draw next Monday.

It's all gone horribly wrong fro Hereford League One in 2009, Southern Premier League in 2014 They were the team relegated from Division Three on goals scored when Brighton pulled off their great escape in 1997. Brighton would've gone down instead if they used goal difference...

Brighton would've gone down instead if they used goal difference... Don't remind me Mind you, the way Brighton were playing at the end of the season, they may have won at Hereford if they had needed to. If Brighton had gone down it is very likely that they would have gone out of business.

A replay for Marske on Tuesday after we drew 2-2 with Dunston today. Led 1-0, then trailed 2-1, then equalised right on half-time. Had chances to win it in the second half, while Dunston were content to play for the draw having been reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes left.
Tough replay to come but we've looked the better side in both games we've played against them this season. Looking forward to the draw on Monday to see what carrot will be dangled in front of us. Stockport County away would be nice. Failing that, Cleethorpes at home.

Glad to hear Marske are still in the Cup, wow at hereford, saying that though, it's a miracle they are playing at all, as the council had kicked them out of Edgar Street. I'm sure there are several other teams in the Conference in a similar situation, but hey as long as the Premier League gets millions/billions for their tv deal, then everything is sweet!
