seems to be something very trendy to do now...
for years I didn't own a record player but bought one a couple years ago since all my favourite artists are releasing everything on vinyl... love buying vinyls even if they're more expensive
what about you guys?

I have a shed load of vinyl but only bought a couple of singles in the last few years and yes bought a new turntable that hooks up to the PC , a good one it's a technics clone but I am too lazy to use it. Spotify is just too convenient

Haven't bought vinyl for over 15 years, used to go to a nearby town once a week and see what vinyl singles he had in and what price they were, but sadly Mix Music shut down, so my vinyl connection was cut. I have one of those record players that you can connect to your pc, and it will convert it to a music file, sat in my loft if anyone wants to make me an offer

it is expensive indeed but also nicer than a CD (and sure nicer than an mp3)

If anyone wants to buy my vinyl off me at 10p a single, I'd be happy to sell

I prefer digital. Vinyl players are a last resort for anything that's only available on that format, either because it's ancient and isn't on Spotify, or because it's in your old record collection and isn't on Spotify.
I know people cling to them in a sentimental manner. Records used to get scratched or bend. Large record collections require space to store them (same with CDs) and then you have to search to find the one you want to play.
Whilst I miss the days where the charts were a lot better and feel we are overly swamped now, I am quite happy for my digital streaming and was also very happy to move to digital purchases, especially once they started giving us decent bit-rates.

I also stream but then buy on vinyl only when a super favourite of mine puts out a new album or if something I've discovered on Spotify I end up liking it a lot... but maybe 1 vinyl per month or even less...

I still buy cd albums to listen to in the car, I don't really have the time to stream, but will do it occasionally, that or youtube, or even videos on mtvrocks. I do still download the occasional song as well, like 21 Pilots

I buy vinyl still but don't usually even play it. Like to keep it pristine

Don't own a single one. I have nothing I can play vinyl on, and very little storage space in my house.

I prefer CDs or MP3's (from Amazon), far less expensive than vinyl and a more than acceptable sound quality as far as my ears are concerned. I dabbled with streaming but I decided I prefer to have my own copy of the music.

I buy vinyls. I love the sound of them. The strange part is that I still buy vinyls now that I don't have anything to read them anymore.

turntables are also expensive, I got one a couple of years ago, but then also had to buy an amplifier + speakers, so in the end it was a lot of €€€ vinyls are also more expensive than a normal CD but 32312809234 times nicer too
